Matched grip is going to cause them to not win percussion at state. Not that I have anything against it but UIL has some boomer judges

@@joseph-2028 I mean i am talking specifically about the percussion caption at a competition that didnt even happen a year after them being 1st a BOA grand nats which isn't even the hardest BOA competition. I do not see how this applies to what I said especially because BOA doesn't even have a percussion caption so theres no way to tell what the BOA judges think of matched grip either

I get how to double strokes and all that but how do paradiddles work ? I’m a quad player started last year and am still having trouble switching drum to drum on paradiddles do you have any tips that I might be doing wrong cause I used to be a snare player but I switched.

I mean it should be easy, maybe play with a metronome at a slow tempo, go from drum 1 then 2 then 3 to 2, and keep going, eventually just make your own arounds
