Spot on! Specific prayers demonstrate deep faith in God who alone can do what we cannot do for ourselves.

The Bible teaches us how to pray, and no my brother, one should not put time stamps but rather submit to the will of God and His timing. If we pray for God to reach someone then it should be God please touch this person’s heart but let it be at your time not mine. Let your will be done, just how Jesus taught us to pray

@alans5031 What you are saying is only half of the truth and the problem is “half truths” has been the deception of the evil one since the beginning. If the purpose of prayer is to simply submit to the will of God without letting God know what you need and when you need, then you haven’t read and understood the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4 which Jesus taught his disciples to pray. Jesus specifically told his disciples to ask for “daily bread.” In other words, there is both a time stamp as well as a specific need mentioned in that request for ἐπιούσιον (epiousion)bread. Jesus often asked the people he was healing - “What do you want me to do?” The reason most people hesitate in asking God for specific things for specific times is because they don’t see God as their father. No kid goes to their Dad and says “Dad, give me what you want at whenever time you like, I just submit to your will.” The father is pleased when a child asks for specific things by specific times which at the least demonstrates deep faith in the father from the child. Asking the Father for specific things for specific times requires a relationship with God as our Father which is the premise of the Lord’s prayer. Hope this helps!

Totally wrong concept of prayer …this is religion not relationship…get alone with the HS and let the HS teach you what true prayer is …it’s simple listening and communication with Father God ..and who God is manifests to the outer world as what you need 😊
@simplecleartruth3 күн бұрын
@ND-bv2ke You are ignoring what Jesus has already taught and are expecting the HS to teach you something different from what Jesus has already taught. Jesus taught his disciples to pray specific prayers (daily bread), asked the people for what specific things they would like him to do (specific healings) and demanded specific obedience (leaving everything and following him) from his followers. The problem with modern Christianity is that we seek a relationship without faith in God that answers specific prayers and no wonder the West is increasingly becoming faithless and godless!

I needed this. Sometimes the problems in life become so big in our minds it’s hard to focus on God. Giving him 30 sec just to praise him has made me realize that God is bigger than the problems I’m facing and made me realign with him ❤

No its not. Youre way off. Fearing God means RESPECTING AND OBEYING GOD and NOT WANTING TO DISAPPOINT Him. FEARFUL RESPECT LEADS TO OBEDIENCE. He delights in those WHO ARE OBEDIENT TO HIM AND ARE AFRAID TO FAIL HIM.
