I am not self loathing, depressed or suicidal. I am not a drug abuser nor will be. I do not have homicidal thoughts . But lifelover resonates with me in a different way, this may not be b’s or Kim’s idea of what life lover is or could be interpreted as. But I understand lifelover as a radical idea. What some might say psychopathic ideology. I find more and more saddening about my daily life and express my radical thoughts through this extreme “black metal”. My condolences for the rest of the band and may b rest in peace, hopefully this band can truly understand the comfort most of us find through this band!

i often return to this video when i’m in pain. it reminds me that while i can’t escape the pain, i can bear it. what i will do is separate it from the rest of me; it is still a part of me, but it is not the entire whole. Everything Else, it’s worth it for the rest of me. something that has stuck with me for some time is the scene with Don Gately near the end of Infinite Jest. he is a recovering drug addict hospitalized for multiple horrendous gunshot wounds, and refuses opioid anesthesia because he does not want to relapse. the pain is excruciating and unending. indeed, the torture is that the pain has no end. but he realizes something very important. he asks himself-is this pain bearable for a single second? yes, it is. however awful, it is _bearable_, for a single second. so he realizes he must take everything one second at a time. because that makes it bearable. so when i am in pain, i come here to watch lifelover jam, watch kim dance. the music is pain; he dances to it. i dont know if kim would agree, but deeply i see the decision to dance not as a protest against the pain, but rather an acceptance of it; the act of doing so, transcendence of it. you can have your pain, and dance too, life lover, you!
