you don't understand why dogs are shown or bred.one is to compete against written standard while dogs are bred to retain perfect breed,one that will endure and not be lost to years.always buy puppy from breeder that also actively shows dogs,preferred puppy is most lively one of the litter and most developed one.also would be best if puppies parent are currently shown in shows too.puppies bought from registered breeders with good show reputation cost a bit more but they are only way to get purebred dog close to breeds standard.remember that dog you buy will be with you for more than a decade,it's important to get best puppy you can afford.

I already have a dog thank you very much. Got the dog from a kennel that doesn't usally show their dogs, but are more focused on a specific type and work ability. They annually have a contest that consists, lure racing, long jump high jump, hang time and things like that. they breed according to standard as well as creating staffies that is enduring, agile and with a sharp mind. In fact they tried a show contest in the area and 3 of the dogs from their kennel did very well. The mother of my dog got best in opposite sex. What i meant with my comment is that the judges have a wrong opinion on how the standard should be. Like he said in the video, if the dog have a proper head structure but a slightly undershot bite, are more representable than a badly proportioned head and a good bite, that in it self is a bad way to judge. You shouldnt breed dogs with bad bites. another thing that im reacting to is that most of the staffies winning in a show ring contest are mostly overweight and taller than standard. males should be between 12,7-17kg and females 11-15,4kg. The dogs used in the showring are likely 20kg and above. Are you saying that's representative? they rarely measure the height and weight, and the same dog going around to different contest are getting totally different rewards with totally different critics. one place the same dog got "eyes are too light" and went to another one saying "the eyes are too dark", like...wtf is that supposed to mean? How can a show contest help with keeping a breed within the standard when one judge says "good topline and underline but not enough flow in movement" and you go to another one saying something completely different. should judges be more consistent with their scoring and rather paying more attention to the dogs that represent good health?
