What a wonderful marionette! I came across this looking for inspiration (I’m about to start making a fox marionette myself) Your whole way of working and problem solving is very impressive. Thanks for sharing.

'Chilling in Frodo's House' is definitely a compliment to my garden shed. I sell my work on my Etsy shop; Karn Kreft is the name. This one is sold out, but I'll make more. www.etsy.com/uk/shop/karnkreft

I consider myself very lucky to have been able to acquire one of Mr. English’s (I’ll say mister to anyone who wins a race at the Isle of Man) models, the Alfa Romeo Tipo 158 “Alfetta”, as also shown in the video. It still takes centre stage in my living room, it is absolutely stunning. Very friendly communications I remember too. The model was perfectly packed and shipped to The Netherlands. I sold many models to fund the restoration of an old racing car, but this one won’t go! In fact, I will buy one of the MV Agustas as soon as I win the lottery!

My grandfather taught me to always wear a glove on the hand holding the wood while carving. He saw my hand after carving a wood spirit (my first carve). I had over a dozen cuts on my hand. That's when he decided to teach me the proper way. My grandfather liked to carve gypsy dancer and hula dancer lamps at that time.

I have, sitting on my dining table, one of Paul's models of "Anubis Lord of the Mummy-Wrappings" 'one of these little rotters pratises [sic] quick getaways on a camel simulator', #48 dated 26-7-82 (crikey very nearly 41 years ago!). I bought him in Sue's Falmouth shop for, I think, £15. I regret to this day not having also bought Anubis sitting at the table swatting a pesky fly, or possibly his waiter Anubis shaking and Manet's Olympia(?) gently breathing which were a then out of reach £45. But next week your are opening an exhibition in Aylesbury at Discover Bucks, just opposite where I now live, hurrah!
