The upper stage doesn’t come back to earth immediately, it completes its mission whether that be going into orbit or another planet, then it lands back on earth at a landing platform

Nah not really. It's mostly steel and aluminum and we are not running out of it from rockets. Cars are a larger problem. It's not about the material it's about the craft and especially the engines you want to recover

@@TotallyNoAim Anything with circuitry has both platinum and gold. Heat shields are also made of gold. Both are non renewable resources. Theres also alot of things they use titanium and titanium alloys for pins, nuts, screws, and studs are used to attach satellites, heat shields.
