What is the point of comparing unripe fruit and flower buds before harvest?

Sorry but your comment isn’t really helpful. Koi are shown in various classifications and sizes. Not all koi grow to 90cm….

@@Mastersofnishikigoi I think that's why our HINPYOUKAI was altered to the name SHOW. Because you just put them in display, you can ignore the important period of growth and development.

Koi shows are a very important part of the hobby. So are you saying that the top breeders in Japan don’t show their koi? The only problem in the UK and many other countries is that we have shows in the summer months to attract as many people to attend

@@Mastersofnishikigoi If you want to leave it as it is, that's fine. I'm just calling on you to share the same joys and values as we do.

Ok - nobody guessed correctly - it is a Goshiki Goromo bred by Igarashi Kazuto. Before he died he tried to bring the refined robing from ai goromo into his Goshiki breeding. He mainly bred go sanke and he also produced a small number of goshiki. I feel lucky and privileged to have purchased a unique koi from one of the true masters of koi

Ok a clue - the breeder was Igarashi Kazuto….

Thanks Shirley for your guesses👍Still not correct. I purchased it as a tosai when in Japan in 2017. After a few years I managed to show a few photos of it to the breeders son who explained what his father did in trying to define this particular aspect of a Goshiki.

Nor is it a kanoko Goshiki showa

Awesome walkthru of Marudoh's facility. Wish more content creators followed your style of slow pan that allows the viewer to take note of individuals and appreciate the koi
