We rode up there opening ay as well. We had lunch at the Hideaway. Great conditions that day. Looks like you maybe started from Lakes of the north?

Yep! Rode down to the gas station near the Hideaway to fill up then back to Lake of the North.

I don't have the exact location, but it's the field by the Lakes of the North landing strip. I have never seen it untouched like that so we were really lucky.

There are blues out west that are considerably more difficult than that double black. I remember Crystal Mountain use to classify gorge as a double black and then they decided it was simply a black. Gorge is a legit black diamond.

Run ratings are always based on the difficulty of that hill alone. I would hope that the mountains out West are a bit more intense than those found in Michigan haha. Nevertheless, it was a fun run to go down.

@@Michigan_Matt_25 I couldn't agree more. I've got a new (to me) 850 that I bought last month with 1,600 miles on it that I've only ridden around my yard so far. Just hoping that I can get one decent 3-day ride on it this season with my buddies.
