I met mel tari in Florida years ago with Heidi Baker when I did Securities for Heidi Baker Mel is such a blessing to the body

I’m really confused here. I read his book and really enjoyed it. That was like 14 years ago and I read it twice. But I have never heard him preach. I’m confused because not one time did he open up the Bible or even recited one scripture. The word was not presented and he seemed to just ramble a lot about other things other things but not the gospel. It was more story time than anything.

I read Mel Tari's book "Like a Mighty Wind" when I was in the university in the early 80's. We circulated the book so much that book was torn. I can't trace the book since then. The book fired up our lives to believe in God as young men and women.

"He turned water into wine sixty times" Yes the original book testimony is an amazing inspiring story but It would be refreshing and inspiring to find a church that focused more on the importance of 'being' rather than 'doing'. Doing should come out of being. Jesus, Paul and all great saints knew the importance of holiness and living a life in Christ, and Christ living through them. Not mostly focussing on sensational manifestations, which can too often be soulish even carnal Christianity, but on changed lives that manifest the love and holiness of God. James 1: 27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
