That’s a Commander 2 or 3 either one you have but IDK. BTW Commander 4 is a ceiling mount (I think you might or might not know this)

Well I think it’s the ZRS means it’s the remote like the funny thing if it’s the ZNS the horn is not working. But I want you to change it to ZRS since it’s not a ZNS

It's a remote strobe. It's a fire alarm fail bc it's being blocked by a cintas locker, and fire alarms aren't supposed to be covered or blocked by things like that. This place is pretty bad about that tbh. Lol

I'm still learning a lot from my schools system. So far, they have Red simplex true alert speaker strobes, White simplex true alert speaker strobes Red wall mounted Truealert ES speaker strobes White ceiling mount true alert ES speaker strobes Another set of ceiling mount speaker strobes. Red true alert remote strobes wall mount Red spectralert classic speaker and remote strobes. I may as well do a remake video on the Sinclair Community College fire alarm tour at this point lol

The code is on the alarm itself. You just need to flip a few white switches in the back to find the marchtime setting.

We literally have ceiling mount speaker strobes in the library, so I'm surprised they didn't just stick one there instead of the wall mount true alert LOL

@@blose774Honestly, I just found out today they even had white Simplex truealert ES ceiling mount speaker strobes today. Why would they not put one here as well then? I honestly dont know. However, they are around at the school. There is also another type of Simplex speaker strobe in the Library.

It sure does. My job has a mix of Spectralert Advances and Wheelock AS fire alarms rebranded by Siemens + recently added 2 gentex Commanders and a few L series hornstrobes, and the Wheelock drowns them all out.

L series getting drowned out doesn't surprise me at all. btw high volume on the L series is equal to medium on the advance, and both alarms are the same on low volume, so system sensor basically got rid of high volume.

@@Alwaysdoinit112 The specteralert advance finally took the L. But yeah, it's not suprising. I'm also glad I have the option to wear hearing protection with the work I'm doing since there are occasional false alarms at work. Unless I were in the breakroom or the bathroom because whoever designed the system put spectralerts and siemens AS horn strobes in the bathrooms. 🥲

What's funny is we have Truealert ES's + we also have ceiling mount speaker strobes, so I'm surprised they didn't add either a ceiling strobe, or a truealert ES ceiling mount speaker strobe there.

when up close they clearly do not i think the more so broadband tone of the advance makes it carry farther i mean in person they sound more like a buzzer though it gets lost in the mix when you have ac horns in the same room

UPDATE: There were 2 fire alarms replaced. The Gentex Commander 4 has a brother now, and they replaced a Wheelock AS with an L series. I'll l keep you updated, but this is what I found far. The Wheelock with the broken strobe might be next, we'll see.

Intresting. I've Never Seen a Simplex and System Sensor combined in a System. Usally if I see a Simplex Combined with other Alarms, I'll either see Wheelock or Gentex Devices.

I'm doing what it takes to get a Light plated added to my collection. I've always wanted one of those since Newageserveralarms system test 26.1. I got the 2901-9838, but the light plate is a necessity.
