I know it’s not recommended, however you need this size to fit the battery terminals. I haven’t encountered any issues using them. I usually end up securing them a little tighter with the use of a vise grip and then heat shrink them.

I believe with a little effort, you could achieve this. It would be nice to see them implement this option into the instruction manual.

The trimmer is still running strong. Overall it’s a great tool. There’s just two things I dislike about the it. One, I don’t like how’s the string advances when you let off the trigger, it seems like it releases too much length at a time therefore cutting off about an inch of waist when you start it back up. The second thing, it could use a little more power if your trimming in thick heavy weeds. It’s not really meant for that, but I like to trim the ditch line now and then to keep it looking nice. Otherwise, I’ve been enjoying it, especially for edging. Thanks for watching!

Yes there’s a battery. Did you try charging the unit with the supplied charging cord? Sometimes the solar is not enough to keep it fully charged.

You can use the controls on your steering column or the dial located at the bottom left side of the unit across from the tuning dial.

It’s not recommended, your still going to get the occasional sparks that drift off and could ignite your canopy.
