This album is so brilliant and essential to what hooked me to the unpretentious self-aware and self-analytical lyrics and songwriting you contributed the "Small Parts Isolated and Destrpyed" when I first heard it in 1993 as a teen.

I bought “wrong” on cassette upon release and was a big fan of NoMeansNo as a 14 year old. Maybe a year or two later I bought this “attempted mustache” LP by Loudon and really enjoyed it. I no longer have either this record or any NoMeansNo left in my collection but it was nice to hear this connection

is that a squier guitar?
@blankfrank073 ай бұрын
It is! A Squier Affinity Strat built in Indonesia in the mid 2000s, I found it in a local thrift store a few years ago for super cheap. I've never really been a Strat guy but the price was right and the neck is terrific. Stays in tune, even!

Haha, nice! The times back in the early 80s when a lot of HC bands entered the competition to be the fastest band on Earth. it was pretty crucial to me, which records I bought with my limited budget back then.

Ÿeah I mean the Wright Brothers along with watt/hurley (minutemen) are the most formidable rhythm section of punk/ post modern history HOWEVER Kerr made the early NMN something special....no disrespect or disregard to Holliston and nmn post '91 but it was not youth that made the difference, most consider Kerr Era nmn special for a reason, as well as he was an integral part of the sound and songwriting process, Holliston was basically just filling out the sound and was playing on top of the music as opposed to Kerr being a part of the music, as well as lending energy I just don't think they ever regained again
