Saville ? Absolute cobblers . I saw The Smiths twice during this period and Mozzer would start this song wearing a Steve Wright t shirt and then fling it out into the audience half way through . Hang the dj being a reference to crap mainstream radio music , hence , " the music they constantly play , it says nothing to me about my life...." Absolutely sod all to do with Saville. PS. and my mate got one of the t shirts and still has it to this day .

For me, personally, New Order make great disco music, but there's no black people in the group. @@karlsmith8212 I said apparently 🤷‍♂️ It’s what I’ve heard - various radio dj’s have made allusions to it. I just thought it was interesting based on how many people within the music industry actually knew about his actions but were fearful of retribution, much like the cancel culture of today where you can lose your job for disagreeing with people with a loudest voices, but on a much smaller scale. There are references to Saville abhorrent behaviour littered throughout 80’s and 90’s media. Just thought it was interesting that this may be another one.
