"Short dresses excite people" but women (and men) get assaulted wearing modest clothes all the time anyway. Also, just bc you're excited by or attracted to someone doesn't mean you're going to assault them. I wish people like you understood this. If parents want to keep their kids safe, what they should do is teach self-defense and consent and provide a place of trust for their kids to talk. I get that that's harder than just telling them not to wear short clothes, of course.
