Yes, all Camshafts from 2.0 /2.3/2.5 fits in all 2.0 und 2.5 Heads. The late 2.0 Cam is the most sporty one. The 2.5 is a bit less but i was able to buy a new one. Yes i use only the 2.3 Piston and Crank. Rods 2.0/2.3 the same. The head and intake is also 2.0. The torque an power in lower rews is the same or a bit better than 2.5. But the top end Power is lower. If you want more power, you must use 2.5 Intake. ECU is the late Motronic from 2.0. But the Eprom Chip for Ignition and Fuel is a tuned software for 2.3.

@@91drunkenmonkey The displacement of the b20 is to smal. Than the b20 have very low compression ratio of 8,8:1. So engine feels very death. Increase power is with this displacement not possible. The most sensible for more power is to change the engine to m50b25/m52b25/28 24V. The camshaft from m20 b20 or b25 make's no difference.

In this Video the Car had 3.92 rear ratio. Its not for 0-60 because of the second grear change. Butt in all another situations its faster than the long 3.27 ratio. A w124 canot keep up with the w201 if the same engine in front.

I own a 1989 320i with a 3.91 diff but its making whining noises and car shakes back and forward, i need to change it but i only find 4.10 for sale, is this good for daily driving?

Hi, yes the 4.10 is good. In germany, the 4.10 was fit in 320i at factory. When i buy my 320i, the former user habe fit the 4.45 from 320i Cabrio. The was to short. So i have buy the OEM 4.10. This was use in 318i too.

At 4.1 i drive at 3000upm about 105kmh. This is 5 kmh slower as with 3.91.

Do you still have this car? Mine is 201.029/103.983 with fresh rebuild and hand machining for high engine speed and 10:1 compression, Dbilas 30/70 camshaft, fabricated exhaust tubes and AMG 3.2 spark module, but now it is getting Microsquirt ECU with Dkubus adaptor to use the CIS-E3 with the ECU mapping for custom tune. I am still waiting to get it back from this modification so my only video of it is with AMG ignition and it was not good tuning above 5500rpm. It will have much more power in the upper range when I get it back soon so I will make more videos then. I hope to also see more recent videos of your car or other modified M103 motors if you know of them. Everybody makes M104 engine conversions and nobody does M103 modifications around here. Everything on mine I had to find out about myself so it has been difficult and expensive to make it powerful without turbos and EFI, I think if I knew more people who modified M103 it would've been much cheaper and easier.

Yes i have. I think your car run too lean, so you must adjust your CIS to rich. Its easy to do but you must undersand the CIS. If your head good hand made, you need more fresh air. The oem filter and case is to small. I had the same problems higher 5500 so i build an m103 airfilter case with second air pipe. And i use the higher w124 airfilter case. The best spark module is from the 2.6. The ignition point is more acresive.

@@W201029 I was going to use w124 airfilter case but I got worried for clearance to the bonnet. If it fits then I will change them. We are putting in new ECU with integrated spark mapping currently and then will begin tuning next week from the laptop. Dkubus makes the adaptor and spark controller so the Microsquirt functions for the CIS, it is almost finished being wired in this week. Then we will tune CIS the same way as EFI on the laptop.

Ist ein Tacho vom 124 mit 3.67. Reifenumfang bereinigt passt der sehr genau. Ab etwa 200 geht sogar leicht nach. Man muss sich daran gewöhnen, dass man bei 60 wirklich 60 fährt und nicht 53.

A bit more torque in middle revs and because of the higher rev limit to 7000rpm the power after up shift is much beter.
Today, there are only Trucks from Poland or Ukrain and this Highway only 120KMH on limit. Thanks to German goverment for delet the whole Railway since 20 years.

Hallo, Kupplung 240mm vom 300E benutzen. Die vom 2.6 hält nicht lange und dann Getriebe wieder raus muss nicht sein. Wenn der 300er Motor noch gut im Saft steht, rutscht die Kupplung von 2 auf 3 sofort. Steuergeräte können bleiben. Es solltw die KE auf den 300er eingestellt werden. Volllast Anpassung muss eingestellt werden.

Hallo habe den gleichen Spass mit meinem 2.6 RÜF( ohne Kat) jetzt auch vor Sprich: eigentlich sollte es nur ein 3.0er mit 282er Nocke und Zylinderkopf von NG Motorsport. Aber jetzt habe ich deinen gesehen und bin Positiv überracht. Würde gerne ein paar Infos bekommen welchen Basismotor du jetzt genommen hast und wie du vorgegangen bist? Würde mich über eine AW freuen

Hi, die Basis ist der 300er Motor. Die KW ist vom m104 320er. Hat knapp 4mm mehr Hub. Die Kolben sind 91mm, also 1mm größer wie vom 320er bzw 190E 3.2 AMG. Der Kopf ist ein 300er wo ich die Kanäle etwas bearbeitet und die Übergänge angepasst habe. Er ist 3/10 geplant, für mehr Verdichtung. Die Nockenwelle ist auf das Profil vom 190E 3.2 umgeschliffen. Dadurch atmet der Motor deutlich besser und legt ab 4000 noch mal richtig zu, im Vergleich zu Serie. Im Kopf selber kann man nicht viel holen. Eine Revision reicht da schon. Ich hatte vorher auch 300er verbaut, vom Drehmoment aus dem Keller überhaupt kein Vergleich. Ist halt klassicher Motorenbau. Knackpunkt sind die Kolben. Die entscheiden was geht und was nicht.

Geht schon gut so ein 3.0L R6 im 190E ..Wir Bauen die seit 1992 um solche Mercedes modelle W201 W123 W124 W126 W116 W210 ob Turbo Kompressor Umbau oder komplette Motor und Getriebe Swaps ...Unser aushänge Schild ein Mercedes S124 E320 T ein Komplett umbau auf W212 E63 T AMG 6.2L V8 und 7G tronic + geht auch richtig gut. Der lässt so einige Neuen Autos auf drr Autobahn alt aussehen .Bei 320km/h abgerelt da man mehr wirklich nicht mit nem 124er Kombi Fahren will ...
