About this, there is no logical yes or no as of now. Nothing about this is mentioned in income tax act or rules. So it is a grey area and everybody has their own view about it! Practically, the portal is accepting revised return as per normal provisions even though original return was as per S. 115BAC. However, whether such returns will be accepted while processing or not, time only will tell. Anyways, a strict interpretation of Income Tax FAQs would be that if original return is filed u/s 115BAC, then revised return CANNOT be as per normal provisions. Because the option has to be exercised while filing the original return. Not while filing the revised return.
