It's awful how you can hear the sound of the sea coming into the bridge at one point. It mjust have been terrifying for those poor people trapped in that ferry. I hope all of the people who died rest in peace and that a new investigation is done so that the real cause is found and their poor families can find peace too. It must be awful living twenty nine years not knowing what really happened to the people who have infinite meaning to you. I can't imagine it. Such a tragic disaster and one that needs to be solved.

The shit design of the visor is to blame, the same thing happened to Diana II (MS Bluefort) on January 16, 1993 - "Upon arrival Trelleborg the following damage was found to the bow visor: Locking devices out of order, starboard side lost, port side bent, Atlantic lock ca. 2-3 cm cracked, cracks in starboard side web, cracks in the starboard hinge.". The sea was very rough, the locking device failed, water slowly poured inside for some time, and then the visor broke off before puncturing the hull's starboard side. More water poured inside, and the ship started the list which led to the Captain deciding to make a portside turning maneuver to use the wind to stabilizer the ship. Unfortunately, this move proved the be fatal as the centrifugal force moved the water all the way starboard side which increased the list. If Estonia had just stopped her engine before doing the turning maneuver, maybe the disaster could have been averted? Well, she still would have sunk but the people would have had more than 6-7 minutes to get out. The crime of the then Governments was to not recover the bodies of the victims and the massive cover-up due to the weapons smuggling.

Ja vaikka se laiva oli niin kallellaan niin silti se se Tammes lisäs sinne vielä sen "hyvää huomenta" vaikka oli aika kamala tilanne siellä.

Neuvostoliiton perinnettä Kukaan ei uskaltanut kertoa ongelmista. Kunnes oli liian myöhäistä. Kuinka monta turhaa uhria esimiesten tai hallitsijoiden pelko on saanutkaan tai saa vielä. Joka tapauksessa surullista kuunneltavaa. Jos olisi lähetetty apupyyntö ajoissa niin yhtäkään elämää ei olisi menetetty.

Carl Eric Reintamm did arrive the promenade deck 1 till 2 minutes after the loud 2 or 3 bangs that happened between ca. kl. 01.02 or 01.05. According to JAIC the bow visor fell of the ship around kl. 01.16. So the 2-3 big bangs, water on deck 1, and the following starboard listing did happen ca. 10-15 minutes before the separation of the bow visor! That is pretty strange, because that means that the sekvens of happenings did indeed start approximum 12-15 minutes before the car ramp could have let all the water inn on the car deck. That brings the questions on why the water came in on deck 1, and why the ship listed before the ramp fell down and the visor separated from the ship !? Reintamm did see something in the water that left the ship backwards to the left app. 10 minutes before the separation of the bow visor. Assuming that Reintamm looked backwards to the left from starboard promenade deck point of view, the thing in the water most likely could have hit the starboard side of the ship before the separation of the visor, and the opening of the ramp. If Reintamm speaks truth it clearly proves without any shadow of a doubt that the specific time of the the 2-3 loud bangs, the inlet of the water on deck 1, followed by the with 30 degrees starboard listing a few minutes later, that this sekvens of events clearly happened before the separation of the visor and the downfall of the ramp........

RIP everyone Who perished. The Captains and rescue workers (pilots, divers) did excellent work in that era, when this scale of catastrophe wasnt even imaginable.

@@shadowguyonline well. they did not even try !!! The helicopters did the job. They just let them die in the cold water, when they might have been just 30-50 meter from the ship
