I rocked portable mp3-cd players for a long, long time since I didn't get an ipod until like 2007-ish, and they usually lived in my car. Given the arizona heat, that means they lasted for about a year before the heat would warp the lid until it couldn't close. Also, none of them ever had a proper shuffle. The one I used longest didn't actually shuffle at all-- it merely doubled the track number for the next track (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc). it played it in that same, wild order every single time.

The Police are Stewart Copeland, Andy Summers and Sting….nobody else. No horns and especially no backup singers. Their earlier concerts 1978-1980 (Outlandos, Regatta and Zenyatta) were the best.
