I was in high school in the late 70s and I won tickets to a BOC concert from a local radio station. I'd never even heard of them but was just psyched to be going to a concert for free. Then came the concert. They still had their laser show back then, and they absolutely blew me away. Been my favorite band ever since. Oh, and I mention that Rush was the opening act? Talk about getting your money's worth!

Can't remember the article but Buck Dharma said it was an ode or a nod also to the great Alan Freed Rock-N-Roll DJ's life. And without a doubt also the Michael Moorcock reference.

i always listen to this after visiting my parents, when i'm rolling into the city by train late on sunday night, seeing the flashing neon lights knowing i'll soon be back to work and boring daily routines - but there's still a few hours of peace left

Nice version, but miss Albert's drum fills. Letting Albert go was BOC's biggest mistake.

Absolutely one of the top talents ever in music, Rock or otherwise, Donald Roeser (Buck Dharma) is shamefully under appreciated, as is B.O.C as a whole. But Buck's excellent composing, outstanding vocals and unequalled guitar mastery makes the lack of recognition so egregious, especially considering he's been performing professionally for 50 YEARS! What a travesty.

Intro by Howard was a bit strange. Here you have the lead singer of a legendary rock band along with Buck Dharma, and Howard is treating them like they were nobodies and acting like it was a chore to have them on. Howard should have been down on his dam knees bowing to them. Howard can be a real douchebag. The problem with these guys is they're too nice and let Howard walk all over them. Howard could have done a real interview with a band that had such a storied history, and instead he's talking about a bunch of crap that has nothing to do with the group.

Two things I think of when I hear this song, one almost in a way a sequel musically to Don't fear the reaper and secondly I picture the scene in From Dusk till Dawn where Salma Hayek is dancing in that skimpy outfit with the snake on her shoulders even though she didn't dance to this but, just imagine that's all. Afterall it is a song about vampires,is it not?
