The team is solid the depth is solid. We don't need a rental. There is no need to part with any of these pieces, they all work well together, a rental may not fit and you give up \a piece that does?

The “owner is meddling” is the only explanation for D choice fiasco or our Scouting staff is garbage with no vision? Some journalistic digging needs to be done.

Sorry but picking Stanley as trending down is just silly. He’s playing the best hockey of the year. He’s a regular D-member of a team that is the best in goals against in the nhl. Move on, stale discussion.

@ he’d be 34 after a 5 year deal. So that doesn’t exactly set him up for a big payday anyways, so Im pretty confident it’ll be 7 years. I’d sign that 8x7 too

Connor 100% right, they had Samberg playing on his offside last playoffs and benched Miller so Stanley could be in, I'll believe he's not a game 1 starter when I see it 😂
@Koersky
@Koersky 15 сағат бұрын
@@jonconnor2128I’m still pissed about that. Samberg and Schmidt were great all year and they had to break that just to put Stanley, a slow ass player in against the super fast avs so he gets cooked, and have to play samberg on his offside when he literally never does that, so he struggles a ton too. Why is that the time to make that change? I just don’t get it

Have watched a lot of other games this year. Laughton was a better pick last year but he doesn’t play “hard” . Namestnikov is a better 2 C than Lowry b/c he has better hands, vision and touch. Lowry is a 3C at his best. Someone with more size, durability and speed and ideally vision needs to be the 2C. That will cost us more than Monahan but this is the year.

Can anyone explain to me how the Jets are dominating and are not in anyone’s top 5 to win the cup? Yeah they lost in the first round the last 2 years but so have the Leafs and they still make top 5 picks! I like being under the radar but this seems downright disrespectful!!

It's time for the Jets to prove they can do it in the playoffs, there's no excuses, the west is tough this year but it's time to prove to the high very world that they can win a Stanley cup, great balance of players, obviously goaltending, I'm an old Boston hockey player guy and in my opinion they've got what it takes to make a cup run

The wins this year have come in different ways but quite a lot have been due to the PP success. This is not a winning formula in the playoffs where 5v5 tends to rule the flow of play. Not adding something impactful, not ruffling a feather to avoid chemistry problems is also not a winning formula when both 55& 37 are having career years? If not now then it may be never for these 2 top players.

This winning thing is getting to be routine for the streaking Jets, whose defeat of Carolina on Tuesday was their seventh straight, marking the third time this season they've had a run of seven wins or more. Winnipeg is the fourth team in the last 20 years to have at least three seven-game streaks, following Boston (5) in 2022-23, St. Louis (3) in 2019-20 and Tampa Bay (4) in 2018-19. None of those three teams won the Stanley Cup that season, though.

Like many others have said, Murat Ates is one of the best. I call him the "voice of reason" similar to Andrew. I'm not sure what the Jets will or won't do at the deadline but there is no other GM in the league I'd take over Chevy. Nobody can see how a trade will turn out, however, Chevy just makes one great deal after another and have to think the one with the Kings may go down as one of the best ever. I was saying this to friends last year but I'm certain that Kupari has what it takes to become one day a top 6 centreman. He has size, speed and strong. Right now, I'd say he certainly has been snake bitten, but I believe this will change moving forward. Another thing, which I wonder what others think, but I for one, wouldn't necessarily be disappointed if Stanley or Heinola was to move on. I get why they are giving Stanley every reason to show what he can do but wonder if consistently might be his downfall. I hope not but I'm a huge fan of Fleury, another big defenseman who I still believe has his best in front of him (another great move that Chevy made) As well, of all the great trades we've made in the past, I'd suggest the best ones are the ones that weren't made. Too many teams trade for big names at the deadline that have never gone on to win the Stanley Cup. Finally, one player I'd love to see in the stretch run and into the playoffs would be Toews, if only he felt ready to go, and wouldn't that be a story if the Jets were to be the last team standing. Thanks again for allowing my two cents and keep up the great work:)
