Just smoked a chuck roast following almost the same directions. Only difference being I got a five pounder from BJ’s. It was one of the worst cooks I’ve ever done. There was so much fat inside the chuckroast that we ate a little bit of it and pulled all the fat out and froze the meat to make stew in the future. Going to use the crockpot to make the stew. I think next time I’ll buy a more marbled piece of meat little smaller from someplace like Costco or a butcher shop.

The olive oil is used as a binder so that the rubs will stick. Some people will use mustard others we use W sauce. It’s just something to get the meat moist so the rub sticks.

I keep trying to get it but too many people.... I'm sure it's the sound but nobody has guessed it yet... ill keep trying

I know that theres a lot of comments here pooh-poohing Stihl or Husqvarna, but i own the Stihl MS261c with an 18" bar, aythat unit fires up second pull every time. I love it and it has tons of power. But now i need a bigger saw with a longer bar, so I'm certainly entertained by this Echo Timberwolf. I was thinking about the Husqvarna 460 Farm Boss, but i believe its a bit more money than the Echo, and, i believe that the Echo might be more on the professional side than the Husky. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Appreciate the effort in making this video for others. Cheers!

I substituted the fireball apple whiskey for the apple juice. You do not get the cinnamon flavor, but you get a very sweet apple flavor. and I did like you did I put tinfoil over that burn plate which is a good idea. It definitely makes for easier cleanup when you are done.

So... A suggestion. When you scrape your griddle down. And spray it off with a hose. Domt trust a paper towel to dry it properly. Put it back on a hot grll or your kitchen stove to properly cook off all the water. Then reason it.

I dont have a problem cleaning a griddle. So i dont think id have a problem with a Blackstone. But im working with an inherited BBQ grill. It mostly still works. And its gas, and im not a huge fan of gas grills. I have a griddle that fits the grill almost exactly and am stoked about it. Just need to get it leveled properly. And get a rig to properly clean char from the grill. I thought i had it seasoned enough but nope. Ill get it tho. Lol, let us know about your time laps. You lit the coals and they were ready a half second later. Don't know about the potatoes, but the burgers and steaks look fine.

Good video. Quick, easy. I think too many KZbinrs obsess over everything when cooking. Throw the meat on the smoker, it will cook! I try to cook things I take less than 10 minutes to prep to smoke. All chickens parts are a quick prep and smoke. I just put to packs on myself. Difference being I'm smoking at 250 and no BBQ sauce. Other than that I do it exactly like you. I didn't think about using the truck tailgate as a prep table but, that will be a thing for me from now one 😉
