Yngwie Malmsteen , Robin Trower , Eric Clapton should be on this tour .

jimi was a humble person with no ego. he was like a yoda. he wasn't threatened by anyone's talent, because he was secure in what he could do. he had no problem giving well deserved credit to others.

I was there! I didn’t know someone recorded it! My cousin gary in Detroit found it for me! I’m so excited to listen to it! Even if the sound isn’t to good! Jimi’s Music will never die! The coliseum was terrible for concerts! I saw a few there! They eventually tore it down!!!

Stevie Ray Vaughan was Jimi Hendrix's closest equivalent. Kenny Wayne Shepherd is both Jimi and Stevie's closest equivalent. 1-2-3 just like that or a Grandfather, Son and Grandson type arrangement. Nobody else pulls it off like that and key signature trademarks in their guitar playing and sounds get missed. SRV selected Kenny out of the crowd when he was only 7 years old in 1984. The rest is all history from there. The trio could easily play each others songs and sound virtually similar if not identical in both tone, style and rhythm.

I'm sorry but I have to respectfully disagree. I'm a 38-year die-hard Hendrix nut and play guitar myself. I see you speak from the heart and I respect that. But..... Randy Hansen is the greatest Hendrix guitarist by far from anybody else. Strike me down if I'm lying but he even expands on it as you might expect Jimi himself would. And his buck teeth and skill surpass Jimmy's teeth playing. But Randy wouldn't even be playing with his teeth if it wasn't for Jimi. Probably. Randy Hansen has been the number one Jimi Hendrix cover band for over 40 years. He's considered one of the best Hendrix impersonators and is officially recognized by the Hendrix family. Check out Hansen doing "Machine Gun", live. Here on KZbin. Or, 1983 A merman I shall turn to be. LIVE!!!! On stage!! Jimi's most difficult and badass freak out tunes he holds up to the standards. In my mind Nobody else has reached these standards.

As great as Stevie Ray is he still plays Hendrix songs in Stevie Ray's own style. He's never been able to actually replicate Jimi's unique style and ability. I feel guilty saying this because I'm also a die-hard Stevie Ray fan. I know both of these artists inside out from front to back. I have every album that's available for both of these legends. I only add that to help qualify my statements.

These shows are not meant to replicate Jimi‘s songs in an exact manner. They are to celebrate and enjoy the music he left us and to build upon it. It’s about being inspired ✌️🎸☮️ In my opinion these tours and musicians help to keep his legacy alive 💯

This isn't about keeping his music alive. Jimi ensured that more or less all by himself. He left his mark & nobody, and I do mean nobody can ever replicate or duplicate it. Leave his memory alone & let the music speak for itself.

@@JohnDoeEagle1No I'm sorry but even those masters don't have Jimi's magic. AT ALL. They play great versions but they don't touch on his unique style and ability. The only one who has comes close to replicating Jimi realistically is Randy Hansen. He replicates and dare I say it expands on Jimi's music. And strike me down if I'm lying but Randy plays with his teeth much better than Jimi did but I'm sure Randy wouldn't be doing it if Jimi never did. Plus his buck teeth are perfect for it 😂 check him out and you'll see what I mean 😬

I've been a die-hard Hendrix fanatic for 36 years I think it's great that these concerts have been organised. To say to leave his memory alone and not play it, if that's what you're saying, I wholeheartedly disagree with. The more people who pay tribute and share Jimi's music to the world and showcase it, the more people of the new generations get to experience it again and again and again That helps to keep Jimi alive forever.
