Hi there just came across your video thank you for all the tips you sharing… I am getting ready to do my own. Would you be kind enough to share your thoughts on using beef dripping instead, where I am based right now seams impossible to find tallow. I was just wondering if beef dripping could have same positive effects as beef tallow. Many thanks in advance!

I know this is older video but hoping to get answer/clarification. In the video you say turn the oven on lowest setting and switch it off. Doesn’t make sense to me. Does this mean to turn on lowest setting, let it warm up to that setting, then turn it off before putting yogurt in oven? Thanks

You can try! Overall though Dawn is the best for oil removal. In researching the blog post for this topic I learned it is the only one they use for oil spill clean ups because it works the best.

This cake looks delicious. I would like to make it. Could you please tell me how many grams of butter do you need? You mention 2 sticks of butter. I live in a different country and butter comes in different sized blocks--normally 250grams or 500grams. Do I need to use 2 times 250g blocks? Thanking you in advance for clarifying. (I forgot to mention that I have a lot of eggs and really need to make this cake)

I spent some time time googling this and mostly it is against the law to have dangly things from your mirror. But I’d have to think it is okay, or no one would be allowed to pull a camper or a horse trailer.

I am obsessing over rhubarb and rhubarb simple syrup! It's so sweet and beautiful and pink! I didn't have time to strain mine last night so I put full pot in refrigerator overnight and result was AMazingly bright, deep, stunning pink. I use with equal parts in ice tea- it's delicious. I always save the pulp (freezes nicely) and add it to many things-- one time I added it last minute into pot roast and it was so sweet and subtle and is now a go-to for our pot roast. Rhubarb truly an underutilized snd under appreciated hidden gem🩷

I am dealing with this problem as we speak. I have been very lucky in that my flock has always been very healthy. I have not ever dealt with a lice or mites problem before, until now that is. Our chickens do free range most of the day. I'm assuming that's where they picked it up. We already had some DE on hand and I used it as soon as I discovered that one of our birds had lice. I treated the hen that I found it on that night and then treated the rest of the flock the very next day. This has only been within the last couple of days for me. I am getting ready to go clean out my coops as we speak. I have four to clean out & I'm really dreading it. I have already sprinkled DE all over the coops, the nesting boxes, and the roosting bars. I used 7 dust on the one hen that has had it, I guess for a while, because she has started to lose some feathers. She had gone broody a short while ago and was in one of our larger nesting boxes, so I did not bother her while she was sitting on eggs. When she was done being broody, I noticed that she was bald on her breast area, but I thought it was just from her sitting on her eggs for so long because she only got up a few times to take a dust bath then went right back to her eggs. I have had issues with wild birds flying into the coops when the doors are open, so I'm guessing that's where she the lice. However, on closer inspection, they are in the large nesting box where she went broody. I ordered some Elector PSP which will be here tomorrow. It is a bacteria that consumes the lice and eggs as far as I know. It is a one treatment and done sort of thing, but it is very expensive. It is safe & it is not necessary to mask up while treating the flock. It does not say that it is for lice on the bottle- just mites, but it works for both. It is strictly a money game for the reason it is not labeled on the bottle from what I understand. The only place I've been able to find it is online, so it's best to have it on hand when you need it because if you wait till you need it you'll have to wait for it to be delivered. It is $160 for about a quart size jug but it is very concentrated. You only mix 9 or 10 mL of concentrate to 1 gallon of water, put it in a spray bottle, and spray your chickens under the wings, the vent, & between the feathers. I learned about the Elector PSP through Bock Bock Bouquet's KZbin channel. Sorry for such a long comment. I just wanted to tell you my experience and what I know. Thank you for the video. It was very helpful. Sending smiles over to you from Georgia.

Thank you for making this video. I started making milk kefir last April and we love it . I started out with dehydrated grains I bought online and followed the directions to get them going. My grams have grown a whole bunch that I have a quart sized jar full of them stored in the refrigerator. I need to freeze some for safekeeping son. The cheese is something I never thought about doing and will certainly help with my grain "stash" that keeps growing exponentially. There's no one I know who wants to make kefir around me so I haven't given any away. Thanks for your video and I will be trying this soon. Just subbed to your channel as well. 🙂🙂
