Hope the Bankester parents are doing fine, they certainly have raised some lovely ladies.

I like this song, but what I really like is the interpretation by these young ladies, the melodies and their voices in greatest harmony.

Everything great except the clapping at the beginning could definitely live without that great job other that the clapping just wait for your part then go bless you all

Never heard this song before, but I really like it. Never realized that there is another sister that had moved onto to other things and was no longer with the band in their later years.

For the female banjo player…what is the open tuning she is using? She is capo Ed in the second fret but what is the open tuning without the capo ?
@philbankester1822 жыл бұрын
She used a standard open G banjo tuning. We played that song in A.

Glad I found this segment. Gonna miss Tom and Miss Dixie, I grew up on Tom’s music. If you folks want to read up On a mine disaster, read up on the Scofield Utah mine explosion in 1900. I lost several great uncles in that mess. My dads family were all out of Bardstown pike Kentucky by way of Erie Colorado mines and they ended up at the Scofield mine and lost their lives. I’m 56 and the disaster is a family history record handed down generationally so we never forget our loved ones. A prayer for Tom and Dixie and for all mining victims. A tough way to live and a damn sad way to die.🇺🇸
