I'm in Nigeria in Ado Ekiti-Ekiti state, how can I get this ginkgo tree? I want to plant it.

Some corrections and additional information....Summer Red is one of four species known as the 'Summer Series', Summer Red, Summer Beauty (pastel pink) Summer Glory ( hot pink) and Summer Snow (pure white). They are a cross between Corymbia Ficifolia and Corymbia ptychocarpa. They are grafted onto Corymbia Gummifera, although there's other rootstock that will take the scion. The original Corymbia Ficifolia were first discovered by Marion Blackwell, and they were a vivid, almost vermilion orange and a deep, almost burgundy red, with prominent cream stamen tips. Summer Series was developed by Stanley Henry, and grown commercially by Tony Hoopman, of Toowoomba Wildflowers. It was Stan who developed the grafting process, after many years of trials.

I've been wondering what happened to stress ginko's out so much to where they only have those 2 populations in China. I wonder what that tree saw just sitting there. Waiting for humanity to find it.

Why did Australia send and sell the trees to UK? Why not the world? 😮 Come on. Where do I buy a wollemi tree or seeds? Can you shipping it to the USA? Thanks

There is another Encephalartos far rarer than E woodii. E relictus numbers less than 20 or so plants in cultivation from the original lone clump found in the wild. E relictus also happens to be male. E woodii is far more vigorous with over 500 plants distributed globally in botanical gardens and private collections. The original stems from the clump of E woodii found in Ngoye forest can still be seen in the Durban Botanical Gardens.

I bought a little Wolly sapling about 25cm tall from a nursery during early winter as a gardening experiment, and now approaching mid spring it's erupting with new light green growth from every tip and has more than doubled in size. It takes pride of place in the middle of my front yard garden microclimate. I'm hoping I'm in an isolated enough area that phytophthora doesn't get here and knock it out.

Given the size, diversity and estimated age of Far North Queensland's rainforests, I wonder how many other "green dinosaurs" are waiting to be found?

I've tried several times here to grow them but unfortunately phytopthera is a common pathogen here and none survived for long. Other araucariaceae are just about OK, but I do still loose the occasional one. Araucaria angustifolia oddly enough seems to be fairly resistant.
