I gave up with ov7670 camera. Too much an headache. In one day of tens of trials of every possible solution it didn't work. I was using it with esp32s3 devki c1 n16r8. I both tried platform io way to do and arduino ide. I've also tried to write an I2C "driver" to connect with ov7670 with Wire.h library. N O T H I N G! Everything useless

hello....i have some problem...when i upload code..my ESP32s3 screen is black.... 2nd problem is how to reset ESP32s3 display......when i turn on display the LILYGO logo not show please help me as soon as possible

I just received 2 such displays, the first launch was successful. The first problem is that I can't connect to wi-fi, I don't know why. Secondly the screen does not display anything, it is slightly backlit. Out of the box, the screen displayed the logo and network scanning as normal. After uploading the code from github T-Display S3, the screens display nothing. The screens work after loading Nerdminer, so the devices are functional. I suspect it's a software configuration issue. I can't find a solution. I'm completely new and just learning.

Am I the only one thinking that all this LoRa and Mesh tech isn’t getting us anywhere? The more users join, the less bandwidth we have. Instead, we should form local groups where each member invests in a few thousand meters of affordable single-core rugged fiber optic cable (about $30 for 1000 meters) to connect with neighbors. Everyone maintains a small server and router for the community. It’s easy to fix if needed, and you get gigabit bandwidth. And for those extreme situations where fiber isn’t an option, we can still use short-range wireless with modern technology and a small budget to bridge the gap.

Have you tested the range you can get with these T-Halow boards? Halow is supposed to be low-energy/long range, with distances reported at ~1km or so. I'd love to see real tests of it, and how it fares in difficult environments like cities.

Just being honest. The hardware is solid. But the software installation and setup is not mature enough. You're expected to install a copy of the Arduino libraries that they modified. Even with all of that and spending days trying to get it to work I was never successful, and I've worked with Arduino, STM32, ESP32xx, etc. It shouldn't require you to trash your Arduino install just to suit one board. I tried it their way and a lot of time trying. I went ahead and bought an AMB82 Mini from somewhere else. But well worth it. You install their package, load an example, compile, and load and it works. In fact it beats all the ESP32xx camera type devices out of the water. Not to mention for image recognition it recognize are lot more images at a time. I guess I'm stuck with thisT-Camera Plus S3. Lesson learned.

Can't even focus with your eyes (the prisim is too small and too close) if you flip it around, it might work? im going to disassemble and see if maybe that happened? assembled wrong?, also the arm sticks it so far left it blocks instead of aids vision. It was a good gamble to try and see if it would work, but alas, im 40$ in the hole with a new desk paperweight discussion topic :)
