Omg i live in a very populated area along the clinton river in southeastern michigan and although to a certain extent we infringed on their land with building and houses and roads even in my time ive seen it. However there are also places they go they dont belong i,e restaurants and there dumpsters but anyway there are intersections on major thoroughfares (tons of traffic) and theyll just randomly decide to hold up traffic or ive seen them protest drive thrus at one of the restaurants however i have a good relationship with geese as there was a park across the street from my alternative highschool that had tons of them and we would hangout n feed them so i was able to speak to the leader and get him to let us continue business. But the major roads they’ll back up with no fear occasionally you’ll see a dead one by the side of the road usually not too many. Except this one time some jerk decided he could run down about 17 of them, luckily people got his plate number and the word in the newspaper was that he got it bad in court, which he deserved theres a great video on KZbin how they don’t even migrate anymore because life in the city is so good for them. Anyways sorry i just really find them neat how tough and adaptable they are, however if you put up poles with a string about 6 inches off the ground they for, some reason won’t cross it, i’ve only seen it done though at my campground where they keep the beach strung up like that to keep the poop off the sand lol thanks for the video i really do love these guys and ducks and such that park across the street from my alt highschool had a couple of very strange breeds though there was one that was a duck with seemed to mixed with chicken he had red on his face and talons as well as the swangoose who was the king of that park huge looked like a giant swan goose and they had the best nest across the river from the park and really just seem like they thought they were regal

Thank you for sharing. That's interesting. I never knew about the string trick. Did it work with the ducks too? They probably didn't have to worry about ducks on the beach since wild ducks are very weary of humans and avoid them. So you are very aware of how smart geese are. I never knew untill l raised them. It was quite a learning experience. They are very clingy for the first eight months to a year. Then just like teenagers they want to go off on thier own eventually and do thier own thing. My goose still comes over to hang out with me at the end of each day. All my birds are free range. They have the run of the property. They all can fly away if they want to. Unlike wild birds who have to keep moving to find food. My birds have all they need right here. They never fly away. I actually have wild ducks and geese and cranes fly in daily and hang out all day. Then fly away at the end of the day. Only to return the next morning and stay all day. Video of that happening coming eventually.

Honk your horn. I do that to the deer. Especially if they just LOOK like they might go into the road.

Thank you for the suggestion but l would never blow the horn on sugar 🐻. I have to install a yield sign for ducks, guesse, chickens, turkeys, and turtles.

For the deer l have riveted a pair of deer horn on the front of my car. They work. I once witnessed a deer stop dead in his tracks and run the other way as l was driving one day. I would recommend you install a pair.
