Well this is all old stuff being talked about over a slideshow of clips that really have nothing to do with the content. Bleah...

I often notice how just because we can't explain or understand how something is, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Like when others tell us about this or that thing and we find it unlikely because no ones broken down how to explain it. I think of all of the truths out there that aren't known, and maybe we get glimpses of but dismiss them.

4:21 So you're telling me this meteorite...this black meteorite...was christened, formally, with the designation of NWA 7034. John. Johnny boy. Yes, we all know you author fiction novels. But why would you just casually make up a story like this? I mean it's funny af. But ain't no way the IAU, an international union of respectable astronomers, would let this happen. But man...could you imagine if they did!? 😮 Doh!! 😖😮‼️🤪

hey john, could you start a series of videos called "as explained by john"? the reason i ask is because after i watched this vid i watched one of your older ones on exoplanets... in that vid you said something about a planet being too big and thus may not have a biosphere... you went on to say that the best alternative planets would be no bigger than 2 earths or something like that... well can you make a video explaining why if we found a giant or super earth why it still wouldn't be inhabitantal to us?? perhaps that video could kick off a side series "as explained by john" or "john explains" because details like this size of a planet effecting our ability to live there I'd like more information on! you could pick out details like that and make highlight videos on them. just an idea...

4:50 This is like saying, the vast majority of humans that have ever lived were born before the 20th Century (January 1, 1900). So it is much more likely that any given human will have been born long before the 20th Century. I just looked this up, there are no humans currently alive who were born before June 7, 1908. Even though Earth is not the most suited place for lie to be, it doesn't mean we should be living elsewhere. Even really rare events can take place all the time.

Almost all of the snakes you show are non-venomous why a harmless green tree python when talking about anti-venom? Seems ANY venomous snake would be more appropriate.

What evidence existed, before 1492 that humans could be found that were not living in Europe, Africa, or Asia? If I had lived in the year 1490, could I have found any evidence that the Americas not only existed but were populated. To give it the best possible chance, lets assume I have a modern day knowledge of science, but no knowledge of land discoveries or history beyond the late 15th Century. So I could examine artifacts with a modern understanding of scientific and engineering knowledge? We know that there had been some trade between Europeans and Americans so there may be artifacts that existed in Europe that had come from the Americas, and perhaps even people in Europe descended from Americans. And what about the other way? Was there evidence available to Americans about Europe Africa, or Asia? Was there any exchange between East Asia and Western Americas? When I speaks of "American people" I am talking about people native to the Americas, not about people from the United States.

John, I want to say that I love your videos. You always put out exceptionally good content. As such, I want to apologize for being somewhat pedantic, but I hope you will understand. At 8:25 you described snakes as "poisonous," but there is a difference between poisonous and venomous. If you bite it and you die, it is poisonous. If it bites you and you die, it is venomous. The snake switch you are referring to in the video are venomous.

You can imagine the horror of seamen seeing a rogue wave bearing down on them. Everyone has always told them they cannot exist, yet in their last seconds seeing one with their own eyes... It must have been like a dragon suddenly appearing in Trafalgar Square or a flying saucer setting down and saluting Nelson's statue!

The idea itself of searching for the SAME humans on SAME Earth-like planet with the SAME organic life which uses SAME radio waves and technology it just absurd. Life forms can be in anything, also including forms which not imaginable by human brain, so how you gonna find object which you cannot even imagine? It the same as ant in sand ant farm will searching others ants using pheromones and say - no other sentient beings exist around.

You should do a video on how if we used the same standards of taxonomic classification we use for animals, Homo sapiens would have a number of subspecies. Africans are cleanly separated from the rest of mankind and the genetic distance between Eurasians and Africans is higher than the distance between many subspecies of animals.
