Nice car mate Be interesting to know the compression on each bank and if the rings and or bores are warn at all that might drop the RWHP numbers.

I'm luving your content! Keep it up🎉 Wow been looking for a video like this for ages! Shame it's so short... maybe do a longer in-depth D.I.Y tutorial in the future 🤔... when you have time of course😊. Any ways a couple questions? In regards to split tub vs full tub How much extra room does this afford you e.g are the 275/60 tight in their or is their room for a 295 wide? Did you have to notch the chassis rail? Did you retain the factory trailing arm locations on the body? Or were they required to moved inward? Did you have to brace the mounts? Or would you recommend bracing? Besides keeping a factory look, retaining the lap belt bolt location ( I believe it's resides in the corner of the factory tub) , and retaining the standard top shock mount point. Are their any other benefits to slip tubbing vs full tub e.g like McDonald's bros sell. Sorry for drowning you in questions 😢.
@builtbyjuz4419
@builtbyjuz4419 4 ай бұрын
Split tubbing will fit a 275 radial but it’s very tight the car does move around a bit when launching or going up gutters, i ended up putting a notched rail tub in this car to get a bigger tyre under it (it’s now on s 325 radial) I prefer to put a tub in cause it is square so gives the maximum amount of room, when I say 275 I’m always referring to a drag radial because there a bit bigger then a normal street tyre, a 295/50 is around same width as a 275/60 drag radial, I notch the rails if that’s what the customer wants usually if the car is to be super low, I use the factory locations on the body with tubular arms and depending on what rear offset rims il use heim joints to get the clearance needed, the upper mounts I will add some metal to for strength lowers don’t need anything, look out for the next video on the vl il poke the camera under it for a bit of a look its been mini tubbed with coilovers and tubular arms

Ive been keen to run methanol in my Ute but everyone who I’ve asked about it recommends me swapping over to a carby. Some people recon that they need to put their injectors on a flow bench every 2/3rd skid to make sure one isn’t leaning out the whole motor. Keen to see how to go with the injectors as I don’t want to change my whole setup just for fuel lol
@builtbyjuz4419
@builtbyjuz4419 7 ай бұрын
Maitanance is definitely key so every 2-3 comps is probably a good idea, so swapping to a carb is definitely a cheaper/simpler option
