You know what, that’s something I’ve been casually working on for a while. I think you need to set it up with use of automation and MIDI, but can be software-dependent. I managed to get Logic to do it at one point - albeit a little clunky - but haven’t managed to do it in Pro Tools, which is where I use it most as I mix with it. Which DAW are you using?

boss pedals have a buffer, which means they don't fully bypass when turned off. to answer your question: you can do it both ways but turning it off makes the pedal not apply any effects!!! on a note: don't recommend using distortion pedals since they can add a bit of residual distortion

Is it possible to install it in some hardware? I pretty much don’t like the idea of having to use computer to play guitar. I mean the sound of computer speakers is rubbish. I would like to install it into a pedal or so plug my guitar to it and then to my amp/ speaker.
@JamesArterMusic
@JamesArterMusic 21 күн бұрын
Afraid not, this is designed for use on a computer really. I guess the way to make it work with an amp, would be to send the signal out of your interface, through a reamp box, and into the FC Return section of your amp (if you have it); that would bypass the power amp and get you closest to the sound of the software. But, like I mentioned mentioned, it’s not really designed for that unfortunately!

The best of “ADPTR Audio Metric A/B” plugin walk through! This beats every walk through/tutorial there is…including the tutorials created by Plugin Alliance and ADPTR Audio. Finally a craftsmen who covers fundamentals and delivers usability; Fantastic Job! It’s a shame on plugin alliance to have such a well built, purposeful plugin to exist without qualified, detailed tutorial that breeds ease-of-use. (The case is no different with the ADPTR STREAMLINER plugin as well) Making plugin tutorial video is one thing and making it in a way that viewers can use it is another thing!

Great Great Video! Can you tell me if there is a way to do the normal midi capture feature with trigger 2 and get the midi to somehow trigger the kick, snare, and toms into superior drummer 3 drum kits? I use superior a ton and I know it has a tracker also but the steps are longer. But man it would be great if Incan use trigger 2 to capture the midi and use the superior drum kits! Do you have a way for this? Thanks again for great Trigger vids!
@JamesArterMusic
@JamesArterMusic 3 ай бұрын
Of course! Once you’ve done the MIDI capture, you can just use that to play back any software instrument. Just set the correct MIDI note for each kit piece before the capture (although you can still adjust afterwards in the MIDI file if you need to). Depending on which DAW you’re using, you’ll be able to playback from the MIDI chance on put it on an instrument channel. You can just copy and paste the MIDI notes from each kit piece onto the same MIDI channel. Make sense?
@lenkinadapa7241
@lenkinadapa7241 3 ай бұрын
Oh man this is mind blowing! Ok so I can have kick, snare, and toms (5 tracks total) all on separate tracks that were recorded live, then insert trigger 2 on each individual tracks to capature midi, then assign the midi notes to the notes to “one of the drum kits” on one instrument track with superior drummer 3 inserted. In other words, can it be done with superior on one instrument track and all 5 tracks be midi routed with the proper midi numbers all routed to a that single instrument track or do I need to have 5 instrument tracks with superior on each of the tracks? I will be experimenting tomorrow to try to figure this out for this is all new to me. I I cant thank you enough for getting back to my post!
@JamesArterMusic
@JamesArterMusic 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, you got it. Superior drummer basically just wants a MIDI track (or instrumental track) to play it back, Trigger is just creating that for you, albeit on separate tracks. Just copy the data from each one over to one MIDI or instrument track, and that’s what you’re using for SD. Let me know how you get on!
@lenkinadapa7241
@lenkinadapa7241 2 ай бұрын
Hey James, I was able to merge the separate drum tracks into one instrument track! And was able to map the midi to the correct midi notes for the individual drums, however there are apparently more than one midi note assigned to to each drum. Example there are many for the snare like Center (this what I set the number) then there is rim, sidestick etc midi notes which I didn't set because I don't think the sample has all that information. So I just set them to center and I get the sound but don't know what to set the other numbers to or even if I can. What do you think? Thanks again-James!!
@JamesArterMusic
@JamesArterMusic 2 ай бұрын
Is this in Superior Drummer? I think so. Just set to centre, that’s the main hit. The other ones are different articulations. For example, you can switch the note to that articulation if you want it to play that back, otherwise, just leave it on Centre

Behringer makes a reference amp that is surprisingly good, I think it’s called the A500? I had the Yamaha amp that was recommended and used it with my NS10Ms for quite a while. I didn’t realize how much of a part the amp plays with these near fields. They want POWER. My Yamaha amp was cranked at 100w. Not good. These babies want 200w or more. Yes, you will blow them so DO NOT crank them. You don’t need to, that’s not what they are for. Prepare to replace your tweeters if you do. The Behringer amp with its outputs 3/4 turned up sounds WAY better than the Yamaha amp turned up all the way.
