no ECU changes as the Cats remained in original position. Top tip now is to fit 'high flow' Cats... The Mod was performed at my local shop from stock pipe & off-the-shelf SS resonators. I insisted modification be made so that the OEM muffler could be quickly re-fitted so flanges were welded on to the muffler and at the pipe cut. Worked well with consistent 24 MPG.

@@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K thanks for your prompt reply. This helps alot. I need to release the roar from my M62. I will do it after I do my headliner interior as it's a big job and will take some time to put back together. Keep you posted and perhaps I'll put up a video from my exhaust to check out. These are one of the best sounding engines to date.

16:04 The narrator states the date for when State Government Rail took over from SMR Steam locos as 10th June, 1983. If this documentary was made in 1981, the narrator would most certainly *NOT* have had that precise knowledge. Thus, the date of this production would have to le late 1983 or early 1984, depending on how much work was involved in the production of this documentary.
@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K
@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K 10 ай бұрын
From memory, Coal & Allied gave me permission to access to all areas of the SMR and RVR in 1981 and production commenced soon after. Filming progressed on a part time basis but there was no hurry to complete the work until the SMR suddenly ceased operations. Script writing & Post Production was complex so the final edit and release of the film on VHS & Betamax may not have been until 1983.

@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K
@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K 10 ай бұрын
You're right. Audio makes up 50% if not more of the final visual impact but is an often neglected aspect. Video production is all about a 'sequence of events' whereas in a still image, everything needs to be captured in just one frame. As many who come from the Stills world have found, Video is a completely different beast.
