This was amazing to watch. Do you have to pay to view the loco from that spot or do they allow people to view/film it for free?

The site where all three viaducts can be seen together is a historically famous one and is located in a Public Reserve. With the aid of Google Maps for example, you can walk in or drive a high clearance vehicle to within 100m of my camera location.

It's a wonder they didn't run a tourist railway after the coal finished? Would have been a gold mine use some of the 10class locomotives.

218A is such a magnificent hard-working engine! I got to ride in the cab of this beast when I went back in may for the first time in 14 YEARS (Since 2010). Also, at the very start, I could see what looked like C17 934's boiler. Hope the work is progressing well. Great video!

This is interesting but the problem is that these models work very very differently with different kinds of footage and a test chart does not behave like a person's face or a tree, or a car or an arial shot. It would be great to see typical footage and also split screens..?

Yes, which is why I avoided Topaz model options such as the de-noise, facial recognition versions which want to make 'zombies' out of poor quality facial images. This clip though, is a good example of Topaz ability to create 100fps slow motion from FS7 Rec709 25p HD with subtle detail & sharpening algorithms added: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6G2qaWvmrKEm5Y

Egads, I've almost $40K invested in my two FS7s with lenses and matte boxes. Depressing to realize I can never sell them for anywhere near the purchase price.
@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K
@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K 3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, they've become relatively worthless yet in the hands of a skilled operator, are capable of superb pictures. Even today. I picked up these two Mk IIs for less than about US$1500 each, including the XDCA backs and they usually come fully optioned with cards & batteries. In fact, one camera came with the 18-110m servo zoom because he'd bought an FX6 so wanted the 28-135mm! The latter was always a full frame lens even though it was packaged with the original FS7. Most lenses I'd already acquired for my previous E-Mount cameras

@@CraigMarshall_HDvideo4K A few years ago, I remember paying almost $2000 for a used XDCA back. I have two, one for each FS7. Ah well, the gigs have dried up since the stock market crash (classical music concerts and recitals) and I have been using them for live streaming lately instead of earning a living. I like the newer 18-110 because not only is it wider, it's quite a bit sharper than the 28-135 I have on my first FS7.

Thank you Mr Wu. I tried to capture the real essence of the Alishan sunrise from a Taiwanese perspective. For us Westerners, it could be just another sun-up but for the Taiwanese, it seems to be akin to a religious experience.
