So for the straps that go around the beam, do you pull it tight before nailing it so it doesn’t curve around the right angles?

Very nice, but you failed to put down a drop cloth. Home owner is expecting to stain the concrete, you just hosed them over a $20 item, and now your involved with giving them money back, undoing the mess you made, or going to small claims court...

Wouldn't a few passes with 40 or 80 grit sand paper "faux etch" the adhesive side of the "slick surface" ... my $0.02
