Honestly, Mark comes off as kind of a dick. I understand he’s been through a lot, and that he feels the feels, but his older stuff was orders of magnitude better than his current stuff, which is his personal diary set to music. Plus, the way he treats certain people is not okay.

The banjo adds to the atmosphere that Mark creates with his haunting voice. Amazing.

+Juntness People too often associate the banjo with twangy bluegrass music, and the movie Deliverance. Not many people realize just what a beautiful instrument the banjo really is. It can evoke an almost shockingly wide range of emotions, and I wish Mark would use it more in his music.

I heard this in a Starbucks in Albuquerque, NM. We had just come down an icy mountain road from the Christ Monastery in the desert where we avoided several close calls to disaster. Just feels like we were meant to hear this!

I really REALLY love what Ilyas is doing. I've been a fan for a few years if I have one problem..its this: PLEASE STOP RELEASING SUCH LIMITED PRESSING CDRS! I LOVE the music and can never get a cdr in time.
