When i first watched bleach, I always thought this is the "oh crap, mom's angry" type of gag. Until the TYBW fully explain why she is so malevolently horrifying. Everyone's mortal fear of her suddenly makes sense. Hell, i think they don't even fear her as mcuh as they should.
