Strange... I have played this game at least 30-40 times since it came out on CD-ROM. But I never saw that door to the restrooms (3:39:40). And more of those sliding doors. There are a few of these sliding doors on this level, but in all of the versions I have played (from CD-ROM and downloaded versions), there were pillars instead of doors (where you can hide behind). Is this another version? I would love to play that one, too. Since I still play this game from time to time. Great long video. Wanting to play this game again 😀

Hullo frens! And welcome to my single oldest video left to be published on my channel, it waited 3,5 years almost, for various reasons. I'm definitely not a big fan of Arena Shooters, like Painkillers, Serious Sams, and Dooms. Not for me, really. And this was also recorded not by me! So basically I've got no idea what's happening in this video, it's a blind walkthrough for me too. xD Not sure if this is just Normal Difficulty walkthrough, or 100% Secrets, or what. It is what it is, I suppose. Anyway, this might be the first and last Serious Sam game to grace my channel, ever I think, sooooo hopefully it will at least find some audience here. :D Cheers, and have a nice weekend! Stay warm, it's pretty cold and windy. :)

I love this game's story so much, I wrote a small essay comparing it to the Wither 4 trailer, and the story we've seen so far. Enjoy. At 1:03:10 in the video, we see a perfect example of the sensitivities and storytelling depth characteristic of games from the early 2000s. The scene portrays a love conflict between a crusader and a nun. Both are bound by vows of chastity, and while they love each other deeply, their faith and duties prevent them from acting on that love. The crusader, recognizing his unclean thoughts as sinful within the context of his belief system, chooses to leave the convent rather than risk greater moral failure. This setup works so well because it fits seamlessly within the world of Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption. In this medieval society, faith in God is not only real and undeniable but also enforced by the presence of supernatural beings like vampires and demons. The crusader’s struggle is entirely logical within the confines of a world where divine and infernal forces actively shape reality. His turmoil is not just emotional; it’s existential. Now let’s contrast this with the recent Witcher 4 trailer. While the full story has yet to be revealed, the direction suggested by the trailer raises concerns. The Witcher series similarly takes place in a world teeming with demons, magic, gods, and other supernatural forces. In such a world, the idea of sacrificing virgins to appease a monster might seem barbaric to us, but it’s not mere superstition for the villagers-it’s reality. The rules of their world demand it. Should they sacrifice an old man or woman instead, the monster would be enraged and slaughter everyone in the village. Their choices are cruel but absolute: either comply with the monster’s demands or face total annihilation of men, women, and children alike. This is where a noble warrior, like Geralt, would step in-not to preach modern ideals or challenge the villagers’ way of life, but to risk everything in a desperate attempt to kill the monster. Should he succeed, the village will be spared. Should he fail, their fate is sealed, and the demon’s wrath would be inescapable. These harsh realities define their existence, shaping a world where survival comes at an unthinkable cost. Yet, in the trailer, we see a jarring shift. Ciri appears to be introducing ideas like feminism and independence for women as if these are the pressing issues in a world filled with literal monsters, hellish demons, and divine interventions. While independence and equality are laudable ideals in the real world, their inclusion here feels out of place, more like modern political commentary than something organic to the setting. It’s as if the writers are projecting contemporary concerns-like combating patriarchy in 2025-onto a society that shouldn’t even conceptualize those issues in the same way. This highlights a significant difference between older games and many modern ones. Games like Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption weren’t better simply because "they made them better back then." They were better because the writers immersed themselves in the setting, role-playing as if they were part of that world. They created stories grounded in the logic and emotions of their characters and settings, which allowed players to escape into these fantastic, immersive worlds. In contrast, modern writers often let their personal politics bleed into the story, undermining the world-building. Rather than evoking wonder, fear, or awe, they risk pulling players out of the experience by making them think about real-world issues that feel disconnected from the game’s setting. Escapism-once the cornerstone of fantasy storytelling-is replaced with a sermon. Of course, Witcher 4 could prove me wrong; it’s only a trailer, and the final story might take a different direction. But given the trend in many recent games, such as Dragon Age: Veilguard, Dustborn, and Forspoken, I’m not optimistic. All of these titles had intricate worlds and compelling lore, yet their potential was squandered by writers who prioritized modern political agendas over cohesive storytelling. The result? Games that provoke boredom rather than inspiration and end up in "flop town" alongside their peers.

Hullo frens! Mysteries of the Sith, the sequel and an expansion pack to Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, continuing on with Kyle Katarn's story aaaaand... downfall, albeit temporary, as we all already know from Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, right. Here it runs on the OpenMOTS open source engine, allowing for much enhanced experience, and it just freaking works like a charm, finally. It can be at least launched on modern hardware and Windows 11 with a real 3D Voodoo rendering, not just Software crap from 1997. Buuuuut - this expansions pack, is not good. Big disappointment to me, and I played this blind. Also, a big regress compared to Dark Forces II, especially the terrible, terrible cutscenes. The FMV ones in DFII were extremely charming and fun. Ehhh. This here was played on Normal, Jedi, difficulty. Aaaaaaaand it wasn't great. The game, and the difficulty. Mazes, mazes everywhere, weird-ass ways to progress through the levels, and the last level is a particular maze that I couldn't figure out where to go even with a noclip enabled, so I could fly around and see where I'm even supposed to go, lol. 5/10, much much lower than Dark Forces II's 7,5/10 rating. The worst of Dark Forces II has been reintroduced here, and expanded on. Meh. Not recommended to play, this one. I'd almost suggest you even avoid it when playing through the Jedi Knight series. It really let me down. Probably much better to watch, than play, again! Thanks for watching, and any and all activity, likes, comments, shares, anything - it's all really appreciated in the last few extra tough months. Cheers, have a nice week, aaaaand see you on Sunday, probably!

love this game, i always try it on hardmode without losing a teammate, but i never make through out the game without losing a few. im now at the last level and lost 6teammates i guess In my opinion the last level is the hardest, cause the Team AI is just too bad in hard mode and everyone enemy has a pistol range of 100km where you get killed by one shot, its so unrealistic and hard but still so fun, i smoke my way through the levelparts as good as possible hehe :)
