Not bad...in my experience brushing on the Hammerite paint provides a thicker more protective coat

Beautiful restoration job. That pipe flaring tool looks much better and it works like a charm too. Excellent work as usual.

Lovely handle and a cute mini axe. It would be good to put a wooden wedge in the top to secure the head though. Also i felt uneasy seeing the axe being straightened with a hammer when cold, but i am no metallurgist.

Beautiful job! In English, I think that is a chisel, not a hoe.

WOW! Absolutely amazing result. Not just the look, but also the performance. Congratulations, sir.

When you have just finished removing rust with the vinegar, just spray a few drops of oil on the clean surfaces: it will prevent the rust to quickly come back. By the way, nice work: you won a new subscriber!

A little too much polishing for my taste. You erased the sissors' history.

Instead of all the polishing and charring the handle it would be have been much better if he had fitted the head properly, that part was not well done.

At the 7:44 position it seems like there was magic, did the surface become smooth and mirror like that with an application of polish? How many times or what else did this process do to achieve this degree of polishing? Good job. Congratulations.
@Steff320i4 ай бұрын
I was wondering the same thing. Depending on the original condition and age, I personally would have left a bit of the pitting. I wouldn't have polished it so much. It's like taking away the history of these scissors. They spent 40 years in the ground, let people see and appreciate this fact.

Another very nice chair leg on a chisel. You just keep on trying to reinvent the wheel.
@paulkramer41764 ай бұрын
agreed. Turning elaborate spindles for a handle is foolish. That bulb near the front of the chisel will doubtlessly interfere with the chisel's ability to get into some spots, keeping it from paring flat planes. "looks" should not defeat useful.
