Hiya, im a filipino. Kinagagalak means joyfully actually. Maganda can be nice or pretty. And you can use "ko" instead of "ako" in some situations. Ingles is mostly for spain people, so we usually say English instead. Mentioning the last part (ko instead of ako,) you can use it with any 3 letter word in filipino thats used to describe things (except ano) like Magkano ba po to?

Not me searching how to speak Tagalog bc I’m Filipino myself but can only say the most basic conversational things 😂😭 I was born in America and I really want to surprise my grandpa by learning Tagalog. I hope eventually to be fluent, I have family in the Philippines and my family sacrificed a lot to come to America so I just want to keep my culture alive and embrace my heritage 🥺 as funny or as weird as it sounds, I hate the feeling of not being “Filipino enough” just bc I am born in America and have never been to the Philippines get, I am really excited however bc I am getting to go around next summer, but I feel the urge to learn Tagalog bc I want to show my grandpa and my family how proud I am of my heritage and where we come from…I so desperately want that.

I was able to get the basic introduction down before going to a party filled with Filipinos. The elders were so shocked ❤. They kept asking me how I knew Tagalog. This is a great lesson!
