So you did hear that blower having issues, probably because of it being an oil-fired engine. It was most likely low on fuel and/or was leaking out oil from its engine which was not seen in the video. Hopefully the Thunderbolt 1000T siren is operating well with the motor it has now. 😊

The reason I said this is because the Thunderbolt sirens commonly have to get their blowers replaced, which takes a lot of time, sometimes more than 2 months before the new blowers are installed. Because of this, the Thunderbolt sirens get temporary blowers that are designed for a 1000T model, so basically you actually heard the temporary blower sounding, but this one was a vintage 1978 P47568-3BF0 blower model that was discontinued in early 2005.

As far as I know, this 1000T has been running for years but in the video, it’s actually not the blower itself, but it’s actually a temporary replacement motor that was used for the test run of the 1000T, now it’s got the new blower and it’s been running fine since then. Go back to check it’s new blower sound

Is this supposed to be a quality company? I ordered a three pack and two had broken tamper seals, with one having a broken HANDLE. Yes, the handle was somehow broken, with a screw completely bent. There is no POSSIBLE way this happened during shipping, because it was double boxed and arrived without any damage. They SHIPPED a broken unit, and are hoping I don't complain. Lol.

Glad to see this Thunderbolt still in service! I know it doesn’t sound great but I love thunderbolts! You really don’t see a lot of them in KC anymore. They got rid of the ones in Liberty.

really needs someone looking at the poor thing properly who knows what they are doing! some brushes, maybe bearings a clean up and sorts. The horn shouldn't just separate like that, it makes me think someone tried to do something with it and gave up with it 🤔.. which is not maintenance lol, if it just broke off somehow.. now that would be scary/interesting! awesome and clean video though i will say :)

@Mike1693_tsmlover Toluca got 2 brand new Sentry 14V-Bs to replace all the Thunderbolts and the Cyclone since the town was having problems with their system. The Cyclone is being removed with the siren system upgrade. Hopefully it can be saved but I can’t guarantee that it will.
