You appear to be the only one I have seen on You Tube who grasps the actual look of this technique, and you grasp it very well. Masterful.

Question : please, with wich product do you draw veines if you want to put some ?

I didn't like the beeswax - it left my project a "cloudy" sorta mess and so, I stopped.... thankfully I did it in a section where it wasn't going to be visible because the vanity was being placed there. Used Firmolux Marmorino Venetian Plaster (2 coats), then the Firmolux beeswax.... Didn't get that great shine yours got -- tried and tried and tried to buff it and the cloudiness wouldn't go away. Stirred it well before, as you suggested, kept a light amount and didn't oversaturate... was either a bad batch or it just didn't wanna work with the plaster. Gonna try the soap instead.

How did you apply the beeswax? It sounds like it went on to thick and trapped moisture in the beeswax it may dry clear in time
@SwamiMasters2 ай бұрын
@@RonaldLayman Hey Ron, I applied it on pretty light with a white rag after watching your video a couple times to ensure all was good... Just didn't seem to work out for whatever reason. I've been doing Venetian plaster for about 4 years now, this was the first time I've done a project in a bathroom so first time I've ever need a sealant. I think I'll just go w/ troweling on the Savon de Marseille
@RonaldLayman2 ай бұрын
I always enjoy and I think the best look over Mina at the sealer is definitely the French soup doesn’t give it a high. It just gives it a beautiful, soft luster, but you gotta be careful. Careful there’s a lot of these products out there now and everybody starting to like reformulate products here claiming their design in Italy because they’re trying to cough and they’re buying it Lately email me your information and I can send you a sample of my French soap that I have [email protected]

If i want to do this on smooth wood. Should i add a netting to make the plaster stick to the wood ? Or maybe scuff up the wood?

I love to watch Ron's creations. Great teacher. He's inspired me after watching for a year to do a decorative wall in my house with veneziano venetian plaster with stenciling. I bought some Ekena millwork corners and trim to frame out around my artwork over the sofa. I hope it comes out half as nice as his creations. Love art and painting

Gorgeous! What type of board did you apply the plaster to?
@KVtravels4 ай бұрын
I admire your work tremendously! My question is, why do some applicators instruct to apply the plaster from dry to wet? Doesn’t that leave more lines on the wall?
@RonaldLayman4 ай бұрын
Dry to wet leave more lines and is very busy, a lot of what you see on online is from people that have only watched KZbin video, attended a class from some that took a class and never spent the time to learn the true authentic process

Can you wash the walls later without Polly on it?
@RonaldLayman4 ай бұрын
Sure you can, but you run the risk of damaging the finish so a sacrificial protective layer is only a little bit extra work, but will give the finish a much longer lifespan
