Watched this on pay per view in 1981 and still love it today. A few days early but Happy 79th Birthday to the amazing Ernie Watts (October 23, 1945). You slayed it Ernie!!!

The standards D chord is not what Keith plays at the 21 second mark and repeats numerous times. It’s more of a hammer on chord I can’t quite nail. Anyone know how he does it? All the lessons here just say play a D here. But it’s clearly not what he’s doing.

Yes as always they're awesome as is the sax. They pull in a zylaphone at one time, (no that is bs but I'm sure I'm sure they thought) wonderfully done in at the end of the day

i love how 'train wreck-y' it starts out until they finally pull it together and get it rolling. it's one of my favorite things about the stones. they're so f'ing real. unpolished, reckless, badass incredible rock and roll. let it roll - and if it needs fixing we'll do that right in front of you. yesss! these guys will <never> be equaled. i'm so grateful to live within the same fleeting flash of time. i love these guys deep into my soul. .

i believe this is the only tour they used him (ernie watts). i really love his playing. i believe that bobby keys was still being 'deep six'ed by mick - a bathtub full of champagne incident bobby let make him late for a gig. or something to that effect. by all accounts mick can really hold a grudge. he can also really hold a band together. so i love him :) i used to think that poor bobby had been stricken from the tour entirely. but not so. they trotted him out for the sax solo on 'brown sugar' at least here and there - if not for every show. i really love this tour and the great and quite unique sax playing that ernie gave us is an important element that makes it all so special. .

That show was the first time I saw jagger with a guitar, stage had a long lip for Jagger to go far out in the crowd. Had front seats, you have no idea how hard it is to stand your ground at the front of a Rolling Stones show, having done it a number of times it is like no other, Filled with crazies, bikers and lonies. I got to stand on a cooler above the crowd. I had the exact same scarf as Ronnie Wood, nodded and pointed at the scarf, he nodded back and winked at me.
