Great vid, just bought one of these buggy frames, I'm planning to use everything stock from my SCX10ii apart from the wheels and servo. Did you stick the esc and rx on the underside of the battery tray?
@andersonrc12864 ай бұрын
@Chio_OB rx is under the front panel, esc is under the battery tray. Have fun with the build!

Nice work on this, mine's waiting in the workshop, I'll get to it in January/February. People knock on this Injora platform a lot but I think it's very capable with the right setup and shocks etc. Also, it's always setup way too high. Good call cutting the tray! I've seen a few people cut the shock links past what they're not using on the front.

@scottmichael7178 Жыл бұрын
@@legitman99yolo76 so i repositioned my shocks and made my own links (stretched it a little) and it actually is probably one of the best chasis ive had (built 2 of them), but you gotta set up everything right. They also have a capra knock off that i just built that is really cool as well

Would there be any advantage to getting longer shocks and attaching them to the higher holes on the buggy cage?
@andersonrc1286 Жыл бұрын
Longer shocks will give you more down travel if you're looking to flex out a little more, attaching them higher seems like it would negate having longer ones though. On this style buggy I prefer to have the wheels float over holes when I can instead of dropping into them. Running a "droop" setup with longer shocks might be alright unless you're just wanting crazy articulation, I'm no professional on suspension setup though. Sorry to ramble hope that answers your question somewhat
@scottmichael7178 Жыл бұрын
im running the hot racing 120 internals with a droop setup, sits super low, articulates well and floats when i need it too

Could you just swap everything over from the 10.2 ? i have a bonestock RTR and id love to start off a build like this without having to replace electronics just yet
@andersonrc12862 жыл бұрын
Yea pretty much, everything on this buggy came from a 10.2 kit. The only thing to make sure of is that you have a 3 piece front axle so that you can mount the servo to it, the mounts don't fit over the one piece truss, you'll have to find a mount that will fit around that

I would love to see a table top of the entire buggy. I'm looking at building one myself and I've started putting a list together in Amazon. I mean I'll buy what I can from the local stores to support them, but I wont pay a steep price either. Fair is fair. Excellent crawl video. I love the ocean and rocky area there. I bet that makes for some rough crawling after a storm!

I like it. I was wondering how that exact body would work with the LCG chassis. I think if I go that route, I may line up where the rear bumper would come the around the "engine bay" on the body, ream out then slice simple cuts to let the rear sit lower and maybe the front too. Then back it with some drywall tape and shoe goo. If it's done and nice and clean, may work. TBD. Then for the chassis side sliders, do the same thing just so the body has that Bug floor pan look.
