I prefer the ford chassis’s with the 6.7.I did have a dodge and the ride quality was harsh compared to the ford.As far as Rollback carrier brand I only Buy Miller(Century,Vulcan,Chevron).I do not like Jerrdan due to not having any grease fittings.One of my old trucks was a dual tech and I wasn’t a fan of it

@@misteralvinstonethese engines usually do pretty good much better then the 2.4 they replaced.This one seems to be burning alot of oil which is usually associated with lack of maintenance

Very hard buying rollbacks in that price range most have been neglected and used.This red truck was totaled back in august and I still have not found a decent replacement for it

Did you have to modify the timing cover at all to fit the 2.3 timing cover on the 2.5?

@@Mineomotors thank you. I've ran across some forums and guys are mentioning jb welding brackets on the 2.3 cover to fit the 2.5. Wasn't sure if that's the case for every swap

When the cam chain and or tensioner fail. Will it bend intake valves? I’m currently attempting to diagnose a 2.0BPY Passat that has no compression except on cylinder #4 at 150psi. Just curious. Great video!

Usually when one makes contact they all make contact unless if the chain snaps and whatever valves are open bend and whatever is closed does not.

On the engine harness did you use your Tahoe one and what modifications did you do to it for say the coolant pump? Also you running the Camaro belt drive setup, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, AC compressor? I’m planning on swapping my 2013 Camaro ZL1 engine into the Wife’s 2011 Tahoe LTZ

It runs a c6 corvette accessory drive with a Zl1 crank pulley.I opened up the factory fuse block and added terminals for the coolant pump

Have you ever done a step by step guide with pics/illustrations of what needs to be done to the engine/transmission in order to do the Mazda 2.3 to Mazda 2.5 swap? I love the 2009 HB design and with car prices these days, I would highly consider this swap if/when my original engine/trans are done. If you do, let me know. I would love to have it on hand. Thank you.

Hello, I have an 08 Passat 2.0T, BPY. The timing chain broke after the tensioner failed but the timing belt is still firm. Do you think it would affect the valves or I should just replace the tensioner and chain?

Very possible it bent valves only way to find out is to get it to tdc and leak down test it

I can’t seem to get my intake cam at right position, I have locking tool, followed the guides bout there but my cam adjustment thru vcds says spec 28 actual 32 and goes up to 34, also it’s not showing phase position anymore, and have cam crank correlation code.

Quick question for ya, after a couple set backs im just finishing up one of these swaps. Going from a 07 mazda 3s 2.3 to a 12 fusion 2.5...... How much oil do you end up putting in? From what I can tell, the only reason the 2.5 calls for more oil is because there is more space in the pan. Do you just fill it to what the 2.3 called for since we switched pans?

umm just fill till the level is good?? thats what the dipstick is for my guy
