@@bubblegum6828 hi. yes. imo Laurent is a true confidence man living in the past, unable to form meaningful relationships in the present. He is also shown to be extremely goal oriented. Laurent keeps metaphorically wearing a mask which is both a way to cope and a way to reach his goals. I don’t think he cares for anyone but himself and the past he’s stuck in Also, I am sure he knows how painful life is for edamura or anyone else. but I am not sure you can draw a comparison between laurent’s life and edamura’s. Finally i think Laurent does not relate to or care for anyone

I feel if Dorothy becomes part of the story that she should give him closure. Cause it seems she faked her death and all and if he sees her, no doubt it's going to mess him up. I feel she should let Laurent go properly and allow him to move on with his life without carrying that guilt he has always felt through the years. I dont feel they would be good together as what she did nearly destroyed him and it took awhile for him to come to some terms with what happened in the past. Them being together would undo his character growth in my opinion.

true, to me it felt like Dorothy never really felt the same way Laurent did with her. They're character dynamic was cute but they didnt really mix well back then either, Laurent wanted to live a peaceful life while Dorothy wanted to do cons. And through out the whole show it felt like Laurent's purpose was to avenge Dorothy, he spent the rest of his life getting better and better gathering a new team just for the grand finale, which is to avenge her. sure Laurent had some growth but in general, He really didn't grow for the better, He's now just known for manipulating/using others like a pawn to fit into plan and bringing out the best of people or bringing others down. When you really think about it Laurent never really had the time to just rest at one place, he doesn't know how to receive proper love without losing someone. The whole confidence group has their own problems that makes them human, and Laurent is also one of them, he just hasn't receive much help for it but he's getting there.

@@emokid732 i never said that she faked her death, it was disappointing how in the anime they made Laurent do all of that in season 2 just to avenge and to finally move on from her and she's not even dead. tbh I don't understand why they have her alive still, it just seems like all of Laurent's character growth and development went down the drain when they revealed that she's still alive.

I'm glad Laurent finally let go of the past, but why do I feel like some drama might start up if Dorothy returns, I just want Laurent and everyone else to be happy and I hope we get a 3rd season.

I love Laurent’s backstory and it’s indeed very sad, but after knowing that he (well his whole team) manipulated Edamura’s feelings and life makes me conflicted about the finale.
