You left out the most important thing ,how to take the cyllinder out and remove the Crane from the cyllinder.where the cylinder mounts to the crane gets filthy black and after 300 rounds or so and you have not cleaned the crane shaft your cylinder will get stiff and the more rounds you shoot the cylinder will get so tight that it will quit spinning.you need to practice before making a video it is quite ez to take these down and put them together and the pin that holds the hammer you just line up the hole with the hole on the trigger.you made a simple job look almost impossible,at least you tryed .good luck on any future adventures🙂

The video was fine,if I needed to see how to take one down I would have been able to by watching your video. You should make a new version and add removing the cyllinder and removing the crane as most people don't and the gp100 cyllinder will gum up so bad that it can stop it from operating I have a Ruger sp101 that is just as bad .I have a ruger LCRX 38 special I shoot alot as its my carry choice and this one never gums up from carbon build up but I still pull the cyllinder and clean the crane where the cyllinder mounts to it.on my stainless steel ruger revolvers I do not lube the crane shaft I polish it with mothers metal polish that makes the operation smooth and doesn't gum up near as bad as if you clean it and litley useing CLP mill spec which is a great product by today's standards.Its just a thought but I'll bet your viewers would like to here from you in a new more complete version.Have a great day🙂

I can't believe you're doing a cleaning video and you're not wearing nitrile gloves and probably not wearing safety glasses either. You've got newbies and inexperienced owners who may not know that your skin can absorb solvent, copper, carbon, and gun powder fouling. All of this stuff is toxic and you're doing your viewers a disservice by NOT informing them of this. By the way the black color on your slide is due to GUN POWDER residue that you do NOT want your bare skin to absorb. I have a FNX TACTICAL 45 and there is no way I'd do things the way you do and leave out some of the very important issues you have left out. I hope your viewers find a.more comprehensive, safety oriented video.

Well explained. I had one when I was a kid (early 80s) and I loaded thousands of shells with it. Many good memories. To empty the shot and powder hopper, I would just spread the handles off the dowels and pull the hopper up off the square tubing rail and pour each one out. A little household oil on that rail makes slide better.

your video is good, thank you. But I have had this revolver for 15 years and never had to go that far in stripping it to clean and lube it. It is just not necessary, Why Bill Ruger made everyone of his firearms difficult to take apart and put back together is beyond me. Why no screw on the cyclinder arm to simply remove the cyclinder like 98% of all revolvers made?

How bad is the done at high rpm when at 75-80 MPH?
@Frankdubbsfpv
@Frankdubbsfpv 3 жыл бұрын
‘Bad’ is relative/subjective so it’s hard to quantify. I came from a 5.0 mustang that hummed all the dang time. I will tell you if you utilize MDS (eco mode) it gets a little more drone when it’s running on 4 cylinders . It almost gets weird sounding…so if you are driving in eco mode all the time you might not enjoy it. I think the corsa exhaust does better here but I think the corsa sounds like crap. There is a lower rpm hum around 2,000 rpm that you pass through but it’s not terrible at all. It lets you know you have an exhaust. I hope this helps. I think it sounds great and it’s never loud to a point where you wanna wish you didn’t buy it or can’t talk to your passengers (unless you are full ripping on it). You can still sneak around but it gets pretty loud when you are ripping. Again very subjective. Sounds 1000X better than home made muffler deletes.

great movie, I have a question, can this machine be elaborate cal. 12/76 with black powder? and whether it is possible to regulate the amount of gunpowder for the cartridge
@Frankdubbsfpv
@Frankdubbsfpv 3 жыл бұрын
Basically the machine comes with bushings for the shot and powder. You would have to a select a bushing that meets your needs. You would test a powder drop and then weigh it and keep changing bushings until you achieved the desired output. I’ve only used smokeless powder so I have no experience with black powder. This machine is only designed to load 12 gauge shot shells. You would need a different machine if using different hulls

Old video but still a good one. A hint I learned many years ago is keep a oil soaked rag around to wipe everything down when you want to. I have a microfiber cloth soaked in rem oil. I know its been 7 years , but good video. Gun club shells are my preferred shells also. At least 2 other of the cheapest REMINGTON shells are the same as gun club. Winchester failed when they switched to HS HULLS. Mostly called universals. These hulls are weak in the crimp station and will frequently buckle.

I just bought an FNX-45 and did some research into cleaning the polymer. I think the whole part about the manual saying not to use teflon based cleaners or lubricants is to protect the polymer.
