You should do your research bmw brakes are designed to do that the sensor will wear so that it gives you enough time to change out your pads, yes you can keep driving but you just need to keep a eye on the thickness of the pad.

Thank you for this information. I am not an expert by any means. I just doing all this stuff on my own in my driveway. That’s the reason I had all 4 tpms sensors replaced first and used the obd reader to eliminate the light, and the last resort was to bypass it. The only thing i could think of is the tpms module could be malfunctioning…but that thing is expensive. I agree that doing the right thing was better but unfortunately it did not work so this a temporary remedy. Worst case you can reconnect everything back again 😅. Thanks for sharing your experiences 👍

Bypassing the TPMS warning light is not fixing the problem. Here in the UK a vehicle will fail the annual inspection if the warning light is bypassed.

When I look at rotors for the X7 on Rockauto I see some that say "Front and Rear; Exc M Sport Brake; Exc Trailer Hitch; Full Cast Replacement for Aluminum Hat Rotors". I assume that means excludes M Sport and X7's with a hitch. I have a trailer hitch so rotor size depends on if I have the hitch or not?

So if you are doing brakes only is it possible to leave the caliper on or do you have to take it off to spread them back out with the tool?
@hunterandchavyАй бұрын
If you are using the Amazon brake compressor tool, you have to take the caliper off. If you are using just a couple of flat head screwdrivers 🪛 then you can leave the caliper on. I am no expert But I found it easier to compress the caliper back to zero after removing the caliper as the brake pads are really thick. Hope this helps friend 👍

There are 2 motors. First is the big kidney grill and the second is on the the bottom (which was my problem on this car).
