Managed to buy good quality fully synthetic oil and Bosch filter for £66.. paid an extra £30 for 3 ton axle stands and £3 for new sump nut . Garages are getting too greedy . Changed maf sensor myself too . Haynes manual and KZbin are great .

Hi guy I am hopless, I have a renault megane 2005 2l 16v karmann, the timming belt snapped I did bent 2 exhaust valves, send the head cylinder to the mechanical shop, thy replace guids end seals, I put it back on car, started it and oil came from the dipstick, any advise

Ce qui me fait rire dans ces tutoriels, c'est la facilité avec laquelle ils démontent puis remontent tout alors qu'en fait, c'est souvent loin d'être le cas. J'en sais quelque chose pour avoir un peu galéré, rien que pour décoller le filtre de son support et ce, malgré avoir desserré d'un quart de tour la sonde qui sert à vidanger le filtre. Même chose pour remettre en place ne nouveau filtre sur le support. A la fin, j'ai forcé comme un malade pour que ça rentre et pouvoir remettre et serrer correctement les trois vis du dessus.
