i definitely wonder if it is a good thing that some plants go extinct, as they may be very weak plants that have genetics very prone to disease and death. it may be cruel to keep these plants alive if they are simply born to live impossibly difficult lives, whereas plants with better genetics could live happier on the same soil

Interestingly despite having 5 needles per fascicle torrey pine isn't closely related to our other 5 needle pines in socal (like sugar pine and limber pine) but is thought to be most closely related to the group that contains gray pine, coulter pine, and jeffrey pine which are all 3 needle pines

What would you calculate the pressure loss through a 3/4" double check valve and maximum gpm. The service meter is 5/8 but they call it 3/4. They rate the gpm at 20 from the city and the psi is 45. The length from the meter to the backflow is 30ft of 3/4 copper and then 5 more feet of 3/4 copper out of the downstream side of thr doublecheck copper to one inch pvc. I am losing water volume and pressure on one line that is 100 feet from the Backflow. It had 8 , 10ft full pipe spray heads and 5 , 10ft 1/2 nozzles all rainbird. My calculations tell me that the line is requiring 28 gpm but the service line and pressure don't support it. I am replacing all the 3/4 copper with one inch pvc to boost the gpm hoping this solves the problem.

What if you have all of these weeds in your yard? It's difficult to get rid of these, as they all grow together. What kind of soil would that indicate? 🤔

I have a question. You said that pressure is decreased if a residence is near the water source. Does that apply even to a water tower, or just a source on a hill with a residence elevated more due to the hill? Nevermind. Watched rest of video and explains it.

Oh my, so Wrong, On the lateral, as the pipe goes from head to head, there is less flow for each section of each lateral between the heads, typically your pressure loss in laterals is less than half of what you say and actually is closer to .50 psi to the worst head (1/2 lb) And since you cut the zone in half with the valve placement you do not even count the heads gong the less gallon way. and even if ou did add the rest of the zone, it would be even less than the .5psi loss. Please explain
