How do you ship handbags? How do I know how much they weigh?

Hi I am new to your channel and really love your content. I am also need to reselling. I started in February 2024. I think my frustrations in a nutshell are how many items do I have to have in my store to start making between three and $500 a month. Right now I only have about 120 items in my store and I work on it full-time. You’ve helped me with pricing my items, I tend to price a little high and I’ve been learning how to use comps. Thanks for your top 10 lists really enjoy them. Briefly about myself, I am a retired RN in my 70s and enjoy Thrifting and finding those unicorns.

I am so frustrated when I watch your videos or any reseller videos because I am not a newbie. I have sold on ebay off and on for years. Just misc and then clothing and did ok on a small scale. Now my current acct has been crawling along since I opened it over three years ago. Yes my account was hooked to someone else’s account with the same name but that has been fixed. I then went from 3-4 sales a month to 10-12 sales a month and have never scaled it above $500 a month. I now have 450 items, mostly vintage, artisan and newer sterling silver jewelry. No views no watchers no sales for a week or 10 days and then maybe one sale. No ones sees my items it seems. Even multiple conversations with eBay have not helped. They do not understand my lack of sales. They cannot see anything really wrong on my acct. They promise to give me a boost but after a sudden 4 or 5 sales, it goes back to dead again. My titles, pictures, descriptions and prices have all been tweaked so many times. I try to list 2/3 items a day consistently. I send offers. My feedback is wonderful and contact messages with customers are great. I am transferring all my 450 listings over to the new account and then closing the old account as it is very stressful having two accounts. Right now I have killed my sales completely. I plan to place messages on FB and other places to let people know I have a new account. It is so frustrating to see brand new sellers do more in their first month than I have done in 6 months. I opened the new account to see if it brings a change in my sales. If this does not work, I may give up on EBay and try some other platforms Just discovered how FB Market place has changed from watching your show. Thank you.

This applies to every business not just reselling. If you automatically assumed they meant six figures net sales that was your own fault. In the business world people take into account your gross and net to calculate the value of the company. Also your invested inventory counts as an asset on your balance sheet and adds to the value of the company.....so even if a reseller spends more on inventory compared to another reseller it is counted as an asset not a liability. It goes way deeper than this video.

This is an old video but I always used marketplace local cash pickup and met them nearby to do the sale. Anything iever listed had multiple interested buyers that I had to turn people down. Why would you even need to use that platform for e-commerce purposes? Its a good neighnorhood app

Great video - you really scored with those Disney bags! A few things to note about Loungefly bags… Loungefly has been hot for a few years but there are a LOT of bags on the market and they put out hundreds of new styles every year, so we may be getting to a bit of a saturation point (also, they have been spotted in Marshall’s lately, so another sign that supply might be high). There are some bags that are incredibly popular and some that are duds, so I just recommend checking comps for any particular style and being mindful of sell through rate. And then of course COGs is important. If you’re able to score bags for a few dollars, I would almost always pick them up. But for anyone thinking of paying up a little, just check the very recent solds for comps (and avoid things that are super saturated).

Hi Amber, I’ve enjoyed watching your YT videos since you originally had some type of a challenge with Courtney years ago. I’m a part time reseller and now retired, I was a children’s book publisher and children’s musical program publisher (including children’s instrument creation/manufacturing for several different companies for over 25 years and unfortunately suffered a stroke in 2017 which I decided to permanently retire since a large part of my business was international and it would be very difficult to travel after my stroke. I bought out another seller who sold jeans and he retired. So i aquired a desth pile of 800 items over night. I listed about 100ish of thrm then stopped. FF to a couple weeks ago. Hired my 14 year old niece to help me. We are hitting 300 this week and sales are rising per day! Organized shelves are growing! Gonna get to 1k items and hold there until I get my next plan going to expand the 2nd part of my store! So excited!

I'm ashamed to say I had a death pile of about 200 items. I was shocked when I counted it all. LOL! Like you, I have sorted it all by category. I have completed 50 listings and my next category is about 45 purses. Then on to about 10 St. John pieces. Well, I just barely found this video after owning my pair for 5 years! Can you imagine!? Ugh! Thank God it didn't start getting bad till year 3 cuz I wear socks with my birks.... Yes I know, leave me alone I love my socks n birks! Lol. But I did this method and it really did take away alot of the disgusting shiny gunk..... my foot gunk! Wish I would have known about this 3 years ago when I began to see signs of shiny lacquer-like foot gunk. 😅
