At the end of the mission where you do have to drive one (beau and penelope mission), after it ends and you're left by the locomotive, the option to drive it doesnt appear. I was so pissed, i wanted to use the opportunity to drive it around the map

There are different engines and each engine has a different jake breaks in them, this video is 3 years ago so the engine sound has probably changed by now, the creator of this video said the engine is n14 but when I tried it, the sound is difference it can only be one thing, the engine is wrong or the engine sound has been changed

To use the jake break, there is a button on the right hand side of the screen. It looks like a engine and a circle inside of the engine

I hope this becomes more like beamng with trucks and manual clutch gears and AI and possibly mods. So far it seems rlly good and rlly stable for low end devices which isn't very common these days. Good video man🍾
