Did you ever see if 3rd gen Ivy Bridge cpu's would work on it? I know officially only 2nd gen is supported but the socket is the same and i've seen forums say that it works as long as the bios is up to date but so far no one has posted confirmation/proof that it actually works. I would like 3rd gen because Intel HD 4000 is much better than 3000 and has later support for things like DX11 and Vulkan which means I can run more programs on it.

I bought it from a reseller through Newegg. They had everything setup from the get-go. I just had to turn it on.

Hey what's up man, Crush is good stuff but I blended Shredder and Crunch for a pretty sweet guitar tone. I like the super-overdriven sound of Shredder and then rounding out the sound with the Crunch tone.

i7-2820QM Got it for like $60 on eBay. Made the computer much more "snappier" and responsive.

I mean It's a business class laptop and It's not meant for gaming. But I got my HP EliteBook 8560p used on eBay for 450 Euros like 5 Years ago with an I7-2620M, 4GB RAM (I later upgraded it to 6GB), 320GB HDD (I later got a 120GB SSD) and the original battery that came with it. I can run Minecraft at 180 FPS

But I'm alive and well. But life has been kinda crap since the pandemic happened. So I've been looking for a decent recording program this year but there is so much shit to choose from. Do you know of any good recording software?

Running my 8460p, also a Newegg refurb, upgraded to 900p screen, new high capacity HP OEM battery, 250GB Samsung SSD, 16GBs of HyperX RAM and an i7 2860QM (with liquid metal TIM) . Tis a beast

That's awesome, you went way beyond what I had upgraded. I saw some options for monitor replacements but it seemed like a bitch to install. I've only done one monitor replacement and that was enough for me. 900p sounds interesting though.

@@jakeeheredia yeah, the screen replacement was insane. Basically a total dismantling of the laptop. After I bought the screen I pretty much just sat on it for 3 months before sitting down and forcing myself to knock it out. Also replaced the track pad/palm rest body while I was at it with a brand new part. Luckily replacement parts for this thing are cheapppp...
